any idea what the metal on the bottom of the feet is for?

It's for attaching them to the STAP vehicle that SS is going to release this year, I think.

I'm using it with a magnetized stand I have to give them a little bit more stability. I'm hoping that Sideshow will make some other environments that have magnetic areas that we can use in conjunction with figures llike this, like the STAP is gonna have.

Did this turn out to be a gag? Or are there actually numerous different numbers on the packs on these figures?

If it is legit, does anyone know if a difinitive number of variations has been determined?

It is definitely not a gag and I have no idea how many different variants they actually are. I do know that all the exclusives have the same markings and at least the two sets of regulars that I have identified have had the same sets of markings in each two pack. There is so reason to them and it is not random. I would love to find all the different variants but not many people have posted there letter here.

Sideshow's rep claimed today that there are no variations. She said that all of the boxes have the same two numbers in them. I am glad she is mistaken. I will be getting quite a few of these and having maybe 6 or 8 different numbers would be cool.

I have actually saved the equivelant of an entire extra set between those that I have. I really wanted to go through Sideshow, but with the deals I got...I just had to take them.

Now I am just hoping for at least 3 or 4 different numbers out of the six regulars I bought. I would be good with that.

Edit - And I really like the slight ankle articulation that allows for the legs to have a wide stance, yet keep the soles of the fet flat on the surface. Damn! I love there things!

I have not read any posts mentioning that little tiny bit of added articulation where the head meets the neck that raises the head up a little farther by rolling it backwards. Has that been touched on?
