That's really what it's all about... Just think about it, 30 some odd years after many of us got Boba Fett in the mail as children we're now all waiting to get Boba Fett in the mail again as adults. :monkey2

Can't wait! :lecture

You've got that right! It's also cool seeing it come full circle - seeing my six year old son playing with the same characters that I did at his age. He's gonna be just as excited as I am when Boba arrives on Tues.

:drool :drool Wow, that is minty fresh looking

Hopefully you didn't spend more than the $7.99 retail :lol

I'll get some better pictures eventually. The figures aren't sealed, but they are all mint. None of the tabs are punched out from the base, so I couldn't ask for a nicer item. It also has the original giant envelope.

It was a wee bit more than $7.99. :lol

Speaking of Kenner, here's a grail I picked up a couple months ago.

That is sweet!! OMG, it looks really great, condition wise... Where did you pick it up? Through a scummer?

I actually got down on my knees and prayed to God that the mailway Bossk would be delivered the next day...guess what was delivered the next day?

Bossk?? Did those go up as mail aways at the same time?

The survival kit!! :rock

And yeah, those were GREAT memories... checking the mail box daily when you get home from school, just waiting to see a little box sitting in there. :D

I was in kindergarten when that shipped and we had split days. Mine showed up as I was walking to the busstop and my mom checked the mail before I got past the first telephone poll. She yelled to me and held up two ice cream sandwiches that were in the mailbox. I didn't get it.

Then I got it. Longest half day of school ever.

Exactly, fly in my soup, pissin' in my cornflakes; all similar sentiments.

And its funny when people talk about accuracy and what not; I played with this for years and never once considered why Boba's helmet was primarily blue :lol

Sideshow Fett should have come with a blue Stormtrooper blaster as the EX instead of that stand. :lecture

-Digging this trip down Star Wars memory lane! Two of my favorite surprises:

-Coming home for dinner one night and finding Yoda on my plate.

-Being home sick and my Dad bringing home the Hoth Han.

Does anyone remember how hard it was to find any ewoks when they first came out? I bugged my Dad every Saturday to take be to TRU and I remember going from front to back on every SW peg and nearly having a grabber when I saw Logray finally. :lol

The Jawa was the hardest figure for me to find. My mom made me call just about every store in town to see if they had any, rather than driving around looking for him. Wound up getting two, one for me, one for my brother at a rahter seedy Woolco in downtown Syracuse. My mom still brings up the great Jawa hunt to this day.

I got both Boba Fett and the survival gear through the mail! The only bad thing about getting Boba Fett in the mail is that I never got the carded version with the great photo!

I remember my mom picked that up for me way back in the day. No specific reason, just because! I was so happy and surprised! I played the crap out of that thing, turning the head around just to hear it make that clicking sound...sigh. Memories! :peace

I also got that mail away survival kit! And Boba was one of my prized SW toys. I kept him safe and clean for many years until I went to college and became stupid (ended up selling the rest of my SW fig collection in the pursuit of "higher learning"). :lol

Oh man, my mom surprised the hell out of me with Yoda. We got in the car after hitting up a local department store and she hands me a bag and says "here, I got you underwear".... I must have been the happiest 5 year old in the world when I looked inside and saw Yoda, who at that point I had never seen before, I guess they had a few of them displayed by the cash register and not with the rest of the toys! Great memory. :yess:

My grandmother always jokes about how hard it was for her and my grandfather to shop for SW toys. They'd get a list of figures and would have to search endless pegs of toys.

She remembers one time shopping and seeing another older couple and the guy was complaining about not knowing what a "____ing Yoda" was :lol

I remember picking up Yoda with my birthday money. I kept everything in as clean a condition as I could, from the cloth vest to making sure I didn't loose that snake and cane!
