Then there's always Robot Chicken's take.
I've seen people mention it before. I did flip through one of those "visual dictionaries" once and it showed an interior cut-away of the the full Sarlacc and it showed a bunch of people gruesomely "cocooned" to the interior lining of its stomach, kind of like people in the Aliens movies.
The Sarlacc fuses with the victims and does some sort of weird fluid exchange that sustains it and painfully keeps its victims alive, plus it absorbs their memories or minds and other crazy things. All EU of course but nice morbid food for thought when watching the movie.
That's an interesting take. It would make sort a cool "what if..." story to find out that the escape attempt failed and Han, Luke, Lando and Chewie actually were cast into the Sarlacc and what we saw happen in ROTJ from that point on turned out to not be reality. Sort of the ultimate "dream sequence". It would certainly help explain the Ewoks.
Dude that is freaking harsh. Someone should do another fan edit of ROTJ and right before the movie goes to credits show that last scene of the group clapping in the ewok village and then cut to that same group, all melted and fused to the walls of the Sarlacc's stomach.
"yub......yub....." is all that escapes Luke's mangled lips.

K, I'm done here at the SW section, prolly 4 years since I posted here.
I have the DK visual dictionary for the OT and this is what it says:
"Lying in wait at the bottom of the Great Pit of Carkoon, the Sarlacc seizes it's prey with lashing tentacles, drawing them into it's maw, "from which none emerge". The Sarlacc slowly digests its victims over hundreds years, merging with their metabolisms and keeping them alive to feed off their tortured consciousness - the closest the Sarlacc can come to companionship."

Richard hates all things Star Wars.
Maybe not. I've been thinking about scaling back big time on collectibles.
Lucas has us by our short and curlies.
Are you going with the EX, Waller? I normally go EX for main OT characters but I don't see the point with Boba... 30-35 bucks for a stand makes no sense.
I joke because I'm thinking the same.... I'm going to pretty much have everything I want in a couple months outside of Chewie, R2, 3PO and a T1 Kyle Reese, so outside of picking up some SW 1/6th and SW vintage I'm going to be scaling way back as well.
If I got one, it would be the regular. See below, though.
I've been looking at what I currently have and what I have on order. There are a couple great things on the horizon that cost some bucks (eFX Legend Vader and Stormtrooper), so the smaller items are getting the boot. I canceled some orders a couple months ago and there's a few more that may go soon.
I really wish I had ordered that Vader ... Still, that would have opened a new can of worms by diving into 1:1.
I'm hoping it doesn't for me, but I'm not into PT clones, so the only other thing I have my eye on is the Legend Stormtrooper.
