I don't have either of them on order, so I don't know. Did they say "shipping soon" for Han in a newsletter? They've gotten R2 and now the 3rd Vader run out. I would think they should have updated the Luke page already if they weren't going to be able to start shipping next month. With only two weeks left in Feb, it's too close to base the timeframe on a hope/wish. So maybe, just maybe, they know something we don't.

Not sure about the newsletters... but I can't recall any email notifications about Luke. But, again maybe he'll be a pleasant surprise and we'll get him early.

Han has been on the newsletter coming soon list for a couple months now. Luke turned up on that list in the current newsletter. Having both on PO, i did get a 5 to 7 weeks notice for Han a couple weeks ago but none for Luke. I guess Sideshow are having a hard time keeping track of what items are in which container right now.

Agreed. I don't think they know what they're getting next. I do know I only have 1 more flex for both left. We'll see....

.....One of the reasons I'm not chomping at the bit to get a Tauntaun, I don't think they will sell out anytime soon and I really don't need an riderless Tauntaun hanging out in the collection.

I've been holding back on the Tauntaun as well...building up some RP to take the sting out and yes, I want to see some "in hand" shots of Han &/or Luke. I like what I've seen of the tauntaun so far (yeah, I know..the seam, the seam...something that seems to vary in how obvious it is depending on the shot)...and I love the dewback and Sandtrooper set...I just don't want to get a Sideshow tauntaun that looks really good and up up plopping a poorly rendered rider on it.

Fingers crossed that Han and Luke escape the Sideshow human-figure paint app curse....

A bill of lading will indicate what the contents of each container are. When their logistics company tells them that container XYZ is being released, they know what's in it, as they have a bill of lading from the factory telling them so.

Right now, they have a number of containers there that are slowly being released, and they have BOLs telling them what's in each, they just don't know specifically when each one is being released at the dock. When they get the word that one is being released, they'll send out the e-mail that that figure is being processed. In my experience, you maybe get 24 hours notice of when one is being released.

Got Han pics in the mail today. Checking the page, scrolling to the bottom, it does say "Pre-orders for the scruffy-looking nerf herder are shipping now!"

I saw that too. Do they mean you can get a pre-order now? Cause that hasn't changed. Seems worded as though it might not mean the actual figure is shipping now. Hope it is though.

Proto likeness puts HT to shame. Let's see how production turns out.

If Hoth han is any indication, production will be a step back from the proto.

I disagree that the prototype puts the Hot Toys Luke to shame. It's good but I wouldn't go that far and with how iffy Sideshow's sculpts turn out I wouldn't be praising them yet. The Hoth Han is decent but not a knock out and I expect this will be about the same.

THE PORT STRIKE IS APPARENTLY OVER, SO MANY SIDESHOW FIGURES SHOULD SHIP WITHIN THE NEXT 7-10 DAYS!

And that should include both Hoth figures.

Sideshow Alex confirmed to me in a PM (posted, but since frozen out by the closing of the Han Hoth thread) that the only hold-up on Han shipping was the port strike. So really hoping this means Han in-hand within two weeks and Luke not far behind. Very excited.
