Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

Bloody Luke head would be choice... really hope we get a Wampa and Rancor before Sideshow reconsiders huge Star Wars creatures :rock :rock :rock

And as I think on it, another reason to buy the TaunTaun is to support it in hopes one day the release a Rancor.

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

I forgot they already did a nice wampa and tauntaun (which I own doh!) but it was about 1/7 scale.

it will be interesting to compare price points.

I still think you'll be sleeping on the couch for at least a week when that box hits the front step.

jiminy cricket! what a beaut! can not wait to see this in its entirety! a definite buy for me no doubt. already have the sandtrooper and dewback setup so having the chance to do a hoth setup will be fantastic!

We shall see... I figure as long as the kiddo can ride him we'll have another winner :lecture

I'm falling in love with you, Khev. :1-1:

Re: Luke on Tauntaun 1/6 or statue or something :)

That's an alternate head. There's a cut line in the neck. You can see the regular version in the background.

I suppose we'll find out next week if there are two different versions or two heads in one box.

I thought the line in the neck was just a bad seam like the shoulder of the Gamorean Executioner. Thanks for pointing that out.

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

I REALLY hope we see this and the Hoth figures at SDCC next week. That would totally blow my mind. Last year's SDCC was a bit lackluster in the SW 1:6 department.

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

We did get the first of the Hoth figures at SDCC though... but Luke and Han on TaunTaun's will pretty much blow away the Snowtrooper display from last year.

Wonder if Han and Luke will come with alternate oufits (unlikely I know)... would be great if we also got the Snowspeeder outfit for Luke and even a redux of the Bespin look for Han.

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

I'm positive we will see hoth stuff at sdcc. What else are they going to show?

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

I think Style A ESB is my favorite ever. The way Vader just looms in the BG over Luke, Han and Leia. It really captures the essence of the film, which also happens to be my favorite movie of all time! :lecture

That's funny because it happens to be the greatest film of all time.

That poster is the background on my phone. So awesome...

A surprise appearance by Walrusman, perhaps?

I would sacrifice a thousand bulls to thank the gods. :lecture

Re: 1/6th Scale Sideshow TaunTaun (in development)

The photos of the Taun Taun look great but what makes you all think we are getting any Luke or Han Solo with it? Did I miss the announcement? If not then this is an odd release considering there are no corresponding figures out, nor announced throughSideshow or HT.

No offense to sideshow, but unless HT is releasing a hoth Han Solo or Luke concurrently this seems like another wasted piece. After having HT put out such a great figure in Luke I can't go back to sideshows luke or Han. They simply aren't good enough anymore. Without either of them, this release is wasted.
