Does anyone know of a large base that resembles snow to elevate this. I have a statue area in one of the halls in my house and my girlfriend suggested I put the tauntaun there but asks that it be higher. Anyone have any thoughts?

What would the dimensions of the ideal base be?

Me too. I sold mine years back. Wish i hadn't ever since.

Eh, it's got chicken legs/feet and is a statue with zero articulation. If they redo it, it would be great to have the real legs/feet it had in the movie (not SE) and had some swap-out legs for a couple of pose possibilities.

While I loved the head and torso sculpt and all the great detail, I hated how they went with SE style legs and made it a one ton block of polystone with no possibility of subtly different alternate poses.

I wish they'd reissue the Tauntaun as I missed the first, but I'm sure it'd be too expensive for my taste. Already got a Dewback a few years back from a board member for a very nice price.

The Tauntaun should have been released twice, each time with the different head so it wouldn't have the seam. The seam looked fine on each head from maybe one angle but the rest it was pretty visible.

I originally had no interest in the Tauntaun. When it was released and I saw the "in-hand photos" I was a dead duck. I bought it straight away and I've never regretted it. Seam or no, it's still one of my favorite display pieces.

What you are proposing is they change it to a figure with ugly exposed joints. That would not be a improvement. The old one would definitely be better in that case.

Ah-ah - Sideshow says they can totally hide Jabba's face gaps so Dewback would have no seam problems.:lecture:monkey3

The screen accurate OT legs are the main thing I would want on the Dewback.

Looks like the preowned ones are selling for about $600-700 shipped on Ebay. More for brand new unopened. I’d say that’s pretty fair considering it could break in transit because of the poly stone.

Does anyone know of an alternative to this one? Like a 1/6 model kit? Saw one googling it, but don’t know if the scale is correct, how it looks assembled or where to get it... it just seems like it’s really hard to er one for a descent price now a days.
