It's a passive-aggressive showoff tactic, which is usually worse than just running around screaming in peoples' faces about what you have and they don't.

That is the way you want to view it, never been about that for me, in actual fact i wanted to show Bobby my total appreciation more than anything and again like Snake highlighted the fact i feel part of something incredibly special, thats not a tactic

Edit: You don't even know me so please don't judge me like that, thats a real slur on somebody imo

You're missing the entire point here, Commtech.

It's a difference in personality thing. I have some stuff I've never shown off that's just about one-of-a-kind because it's quite special to me and I just don't want to flaunt it around in an effort to make myself feel better by making others jealous. You're over-generalizing what I said.

I visit here to check out pictures and get news about the stuff I collect, not to feed the egos of other collectors. It's becoming increasingly harder to do that since a majority of the active posters here are starting to act like elitist morons because they spend more money on ____ than others.

So just step back, embrace the spirit of discussion, and don't worry if someone doesn't share your opinion. This isn't He-Man.org, where it's a policy that you can make a "PROTECTED" thread that people with opinions differing from yours aren't allowed to post in. Let's hope it stays that way.

Good god. No wonder people have lost their way in the world. The way the mess the world is in right now.

If it wasn't so serious it be funny.

Yeah, I can't post over there any more because of that crap. They won't allow you to post your opinion in any thread you choose, but they'll spam your PM inbox with requests for donations every couple of weeks.

Anyway, sorry if any of the dudes in the sig group are taking my thoughts as personal attacks, because it's not intended that way. Like I've said numerous times, I'm commenting on the general attitude of the boards lately and not on one issue in particular. I've never had a problem with anybody in this topic and I don't intend to start now, I was just starting up a discussion that I feel could be more interesting than another zillion pages of people quoting pictures and skeeting all over the damn place.

And what evidence do you have that this is the case? What are your grounds for this?

How about i am a huge Joker Fan?

How about i am showing my appreciation to a top fella and a top artist?

Really i think thats really disrespectful you can only surmise something like that but feel the need to post them feelings you think you have about this

You can think whatever you want, dude. I don't think I could express my thoughts on it any clearer, nor can I point out any more that I'm not just talking about the BobbyC group. This whole place is starting to feel like high school.

If your life's empty enough that you need to form a clique on a message board dedicated to expensive toys, the problem doesn't lie with me. I'm merely pointing out the absurdity of it all.

It's similar to people walking around in their Ferrari Owners' Club hats. Good for you that you have the money to burn, but the problem is I don't care and you look like a tool in your bright red hat. I mean it's great that you feel like a part of something special, but it also looks like a combination of, "Haha, look what we have!" and a little bit of *** sucking.

I feel this way about any of the sub-groups excluding others on this and other forums, so don't think I'm singling you out. I just half expect every response from here on out to be "fail" and full of elitist ____ like over on the Joe boards and for Shai Hulud to be the paid spokesman for the group.

If you've got friends on here, by either sending or accepting a friends request you're in a sub group that's alienated others so you may want to take a step back from the self righteous approach.

There are professionals for this type of service, you know? They'll be happy to listen for an hourly fee. Insurance helps, though.

cr0w: Seriously, there's many things that annoy me in this wolrd. I just try no to bring them to these boards. Collecting, customizing, admiring other's collections and artists' creations, is my hobby and it's supposed to be relaxing. I don't want to think of what I hate or annoys me, and believe me, there's a bunch of stuff in this world that does, I'm human after all. And I've done it on this boards and it's left me with people having the wrong impression of who I am and also left me with an empty feeling afterwards. I've been trying to focus only on the positive lately.
There, self-therapy once again. :lol

WOW :dunno

Bob sold more, as he has every right to sell more if he so chooses.

yeah, once I saw some of these finished products, I figured the "limited" number might go up a bit....others out there discovering this amazing work were sure to offer to buy more. I'm glad he's selling them, he deserves all he gets. Amazing stuff. I'm looking forward to seeing the 1/3 as well.

No it's not.

That's your perception.

As I said, not about showing off with me. Commtech suggetsed group sigs and I thought it would be nice to see everyone who made being part of something special as one for a whiles.

You couldn't.

But as I said above. It is your perception. Don't go telling us why we did something is all.

This pic is tremendous. IMO it's the best Bobby C 1/6 Joker i've seen.

You should compare that pic to the final version of the same sculpt which looks even better:

Also, I think a little patience is required. Only two of us seem to have posted pics here so far of inhand heads. You might note that I said the head is very different in hand than when photographed. They do look a little rough around the edges. In person. Photographed correctly they look amazing. But I could post lots of shots from my earlier session where the head looked quite messy. I did not want to because I didn't want to put a downer on everyone else who has not gotten theirs yet. I'm sure Neo felt the same if he is honest.

Admitedly my head is not as messy as Neo's but it's still dotty paint on silicone rubber. I think Crow hit the nail on the head, these are not actually Heath Ledger heads. They are rubber and paint. But they are the closest any of us have seen to reality. I think the 1/3s will be incredible.

Teddy? and you other guys lucky enough to be getting them? Wait until u have them in hand to say if you are happy with them or not. Opening them is a mixed experience of WOW! then mmmmmmm... They are sooo close to being perfect "living" representations of The Joker. But the imperfections are more obvious because of that. Little bits of peeling paint, rough around the scalp and ears. These are HANDMADE.
I like them more for that.

But lets be realistic, that is the best we are going to see for a long time. And these are without doubt worth the money.
Thumbs up Bobby.
:clap

THIS IS JUST MY OPINION!

Hmmm...do you think this could be an issue of the item's shipping travels? Let me clarify...
When I did saw Rory's proto, I did thought that the paint seem rougher compared to earlier proto pics. I didnt get to see the full extent of Neo's pics until I got home and saw the images with my HD monitor. I've been looking at it through my crappy work monitor during the day. I noticed that Neo's had dried paint stuck all over the hair. If you look at Bobby's pics of Neo's sculpt, they were clean even when zoomed in. So could it be during its travels (specially since shipped overseas), its slightly banged up and with the soft silicone surface loosened a lot of the paint?

Now, since silicone is soft, I'm assuming (since I dont have this yet) that its malleable. Paint when dried to a hard surface sticks right? well, if its soft and gets pinched, I would assume it would crack or flake. That may seem to be the case here. That's probably why Bobby doesnt see these flaws before shipping but when the guys have it, its present.

So far, the best paintjob out of the inhand pics that I've seen is Lforigno and it may be because it wasnt shipped. He is only minutes from Bobby so he probably took it home with him. The other 2 was shipped.
Rory also mentioned that his was loose when he got it so it might have bounced all over the package, and with a soft silicone surface might have loosened some of the paint. Neos was shipped overseas. So it went throught a longer travel time.

Could this be some of the issue? Is the head secured by a bubble wrap or something to keep it in place?

I'm curious though for you UK'ers. How did you get past import custom fees when Teddy got hit hard for a lower priced version of adam's...

I just can't picture bobby taking the chance marking it down below $30.

God I cannot believe you wasted more than 5 pages for this sig/clique trashtalk. This is a forum not more. Are you really serious about it? I admire people that have no other problems. :lol

@ Remy: Looking at the first proto pic I can see the flakes there too. It seems to be a matter of light and focus etc. I wouldnt be to considdered about it. Just wait until we have it in hand.

Ok well mine is being shipped by DHL

It has cost me $84 to box and ship via postnet which is high but worthy of it in this case, i have been quoted 3 days to get here which is very speedy :) it has also been marked down as having a value of $100 :)

Was it you recently that had a little dispute with Parcelforce when they held a package. You had to send them the Paypal invoice or something... as they were puzzled how to calculate it's weight etc when they opened it and saw this little detailed thing...

No mate that was Umair (intothevoid) with his laughing head from Adam :(
