Well i feel really privileged to have this and be in a 1 of 10 group.

I am certainly happy to display my appreciation with a signature, dont see the problem with a group sig at all, i just dont get the problem :dunno

Me neither. The few fellow freaks who went to the Star Wars Celebration V Con made themselves a signature to commemorate that they had a good time. This is our way to celebrate getting these works of art.

It's similar to people walking around in their Ferrari Owners' Club hats. Good for you that you have the money to burn, but the problem is I don't care and you look like a tool in your bright red hat. I mean it's great that you feel like a part of something special, but it also looks like a combination of, "Haha, look what we have!" and a little bit of *** sucking.

I feel this way about any of the sub-groups excluding others on this and other forums, so don't think I'm singling you out. I just half expect every response from here on out to be "fail" and full of elitist ____ like over on the Joe boards and for Shai Hulud to be the paid spokesman for the group.

I'm quite happy. Nothing personal, just pointing an annoyance out that goes far beyond this topic. As far as the Star Wars whatever thing, if they can tough out being around that many Star Wars fans, bravo to them. I just don't give a ____ so don't shove it down my throat. :lol

Though I wonder if I should make my own sig showing off that I was one of maybe 10 people that bought a Frank Stallone figure.

cr0w I actually agree with you. I have a bob joker head and it is fantastic but I am not going to show off by making it into my sig. Hell I am very proud of it and love it, but I am not going to show it off. I understand why everyone else is doing it and I am not hating on them I totally understand why and more power to you guys it is an awesome piece I am just not going to put it in my sig.

For me its all getting a little nitpicky just lately, whether that be group sigs or Bob's paint job etc

I am going to say it and flame me if you want but i see some pretty big green eyes appearing thats my opinion on this

Like I said, I totally understand it and am not coming out and insulting everybody that's doing it. One side of my brain is totally cool with it, and the other takes it as people who didn't luck out and get in on the run getting it rubbed in their faces. It's great if you're a part of it, but if you're on the outside looking in it's pretentious snobbery.

Teddy: you can assume envy all you want, but you'd be wrong. At least in my case. If I spent my life envying people for what they have that I don't, I wouldn't get anywhere. It's the principle of the issue that gets on my nerves. Like I said, it's not just the BobbyC thing. It's the whole cliquish environment this board's taking on as of late that is making it a much less fun place to take part in. But if it makes you feel better to think you're envied, more power to you. That proves my argument.

I used to own a lot of Batman costume parts and that is full of people " I have this you dont types "but it didnt bother me then or now. I just admire the work for what it is. Most of the time I admire looking at someones elses collection rather than my own. That must tell you something.

It's not though it's like Snake said its rejoicing in something we feel very lucky to have and is very special to us

The bigger issue for me is not the sigs anyway, you have just highlighted my point spot on there

''getting it rubbed in their faces''

Nobody has ever done that, and that is where i think the green eyes are coming in

It's a passive-aggressive showoff tactic, which is usually worse than just running around screaming in peoples' faces about what you have and they don't.

Again, it's not just about the Bobby stuff, even though this is where I'm venting. Lately it's getting to where you can't even post anything without some ***** with a huge post count and bigger collection than you coming in and proclaiming that you're "a fail" and then going off to stand in front of the mirror and tell themselves how awesome they are.

Request to Darklord Dave: Please get rid of the "show your shelves" section. It's just a bunch of showoff snobs and looking at their stuff annoys the hell out of me.
