Since it's been mentioned, and I had Leia's head off for a moment, I figured I'd post Boushh-ANH comparison images. I think they're dead on to one another and appropriately, ANH has a softer, more featureless cheek versus Boushh with more defined cheekbones.

Great shots guys, they truely show what a fine figure this is. I just received mine today and was surprised to find a calender packed in the box with Leia. I wasn't expecting it as she was a pre-order and not in stock. Did everyone get a calender?

I believe so, very nice treat indeed, I guess they figured a day or two later and she'd have been part of the in stock and just treated us, great on their part.

And it puts to rest the issue of head size quite nicely. The added "baby-fat" on Leia's cheeks is accurate anyway. And they look very nice together.

Your particular scult looks fantastic, Maulfan! You have a good brushing of brown on the hair and no slop as far as I can see.

And yes, we all get calendars with this one... with a $10 OFF CODE inside. So Leia is really $10 less... helps with this one. Puts her at $44.99.

Ya, it came out great, I have no complaints on the paint apps at all with her other than the choice of the eyes, but that's not poorly done. The eyes actually look much nicer on the final piece than in the proto shots, and I'm starting to dig them. I've been stacking up rewards points and I might get a second Leia for some clothes modifications and eye repaint, we'll see.

Nope, not for me. The heads are too large and out of proportion for their bodies, it's just that the costume on Boushh is more forgiving.
I never had any issue with the likeness, just the proportions of her face to the hair portion and head size. The buns and crown need to be just a little bigger and then the whole head needs to be a reduced in size to look normal.
I don't want to start an argument, but the issue hasn't been settled for all of us.

Nice comp shots Sean.. but to me, Boushh is a far superior sculpt, especially the forehead proportions, paint apps too.

I don't think there's anthing wrong with the proportions in the face. Here's a a couple reference images where the shapes and scale match on the hair and buns to the figure.

Then this one has it more poofy everywhere, so there's inconsistency to the look, and being that these sculptors draw from all the available reference material, and LFL has final input, the selected look may not be what we have burnt into our minds, but still match to source material.

No, just go to the site they have on the card and plug in your name and email and they send you the code immediately.

Yes she is, surprisingly, guess they realized the Boushh body was a bit too tall for Carrie.

ANH is in proper proportion to Han, Boushh was just a little too tall.

And I don't understand the big head arguments, it looks fine to me.

Maybe, but not the current ones, she'd look too odd with those huge boobs on those bodies.

I think most of the big head concerns came from distorted images and that if the dress was just a bit more flowing it would seem a bit fuller. But I think Sideshow did an excellent job on the sculpt and paint for this figure.

I did proportional measurements between the face and hair on all of those images, and the proportions of the hight of her head are very close, but still off. It may be a hair or two less at this scale but that discrepancy can effect it greatly. I feel the sides and back of the crown are without question too small. A little more clay to either side of the crown and a bit more on the back should even things out better, a little more added to the top would've helped too.
I did the same to the buns and they're still a little too small.

This image comes the closest to the bun proportion of the figure, but the proportions of her face to hair are more off then in the other pictures, leading me to think the picture may have been stretched a little.

I'll admit, the proportions are closer then I believed before, but are still slightly off enough to bother me. I think If SSC and LFL made the hair areas bigger, it would've won over more fans then the way it is. I could live with the hair areas being slightly too large, but it just looks abnormal if it's too small.

Thanks.. Yeah she looks fine to me too. Weird that Boushh is taller though. At least SS is consistant about making their ROTJ figures taller that their ANH counter parts.

Thanks for taking the time to actually metric this sm. My eye always caught that the ANH HS proportions were off, to me anyway. ANH is a fair/good sculpt for sure and a good representation of the Character, the Boussh is an excellent HS IMO, the browline, jawline, the forehead, etc.. The ANH HS still is enough to bother me too...

I have been swayed more into this figure since Maulfans pics surfaced.You really do have an awesome talent at shooting these.She is obviously better than I belived she was, but I think i'm still going to hold off to find her cheaper down the road.
