I cancelled my exclusive just because I can get him cheaper at my friend's store. I can see people canceling now that the novelty of the new body/armor has worn off, especially if you're not an EU collector.

Looking back at my posts in this thread I think it was the historicity of the figure which attracted (being the first armored figure) but the attraction has worn off a bit. :monkey2 :D

You sound like Nash when you say the only reason why anyone wouldn't want this fig is because they didn't have the money.

I was of course saying that tongue in cheek. Not meant to be taken literally.

:lecture it really did look great at SDCC. cant wait to get this and around my birthday too

I know gonna be good times. :rock

Frankly the more I see it the more I am just bored by it. Sorry. Don't flame me Josh. :lol

Don't get how you can be bored but if you're not into the CW or anything outside of the SW movies it makes sense I suppose. Different strokes but I'm pretty damn happy we're closer to this shipping all the time. :chew

No way am I canceling this!
This is what I always thought the Jedi Knights would look like, not a bunch of monks in the same boring plain brown robes.
There was some hope before the Phantom Menace that we would get armored Jedi, sadly George didn't have that same vision.

It might be cool to buy more then one Gen. Kenobi and modify some Jedi heads to fit the body. I'd love to put Sam Jackson in some custom Clone Armor.

I just sent an email off to SSC asking about hands, I'll let you guys know what I hear.

I cancelled my exclusive a couple of weeks ago but I am getting the regular from my Canadian on-line retailer to save $$. I think it's a great figure-- I will kind of hard to pose with the others due to its EU look you could pose him with Snow Bunny Padme or
in a lightsaber duel with Asajj as I believe they meet up in the new animated movie

Good point, and for me I really enjoyed the original CW cartoon series and even though the hair is different, its still a badass version :rock

The only reason I'm keeping the exclusive is because of the Captain Rex holo. If it were just a hand or something along those lines I would have tossed it a while back. After looking at my Clone Wars Hasbro Obi with the helmet on, I wish that this included a helmet.

I cancelled the exclusive long ago to order the regular from Dark Shadows. I like the figure, but honestly these exclusives for the most part don't do much for me.

October I think. The Comic Con piece was a production sample, so these should be on time or a little sooner if that's the case. No later than October thought, I'd figure.

I keep thinking about how good the figure looked at the con. And I am always forgetting that it was a production sample. And every time I am reminded, it intesifies my excitement for the figure!

I'm on the waitlist for the Ex. Obi. What are the chances of me getting one? I did go on the waitlist a little too late. When would we know if it will be converted?

It appears that the chances are getting better and better. What have there been, 4 cancellations since your post?

Ya, as nice as the whole figure looks, as far as the whole package, it could use another hand or two to open up some more posing options.

Did anyone at SDCC bring this up?

Now that would have been a good question to ask... it really seems odd that they would not include extra hands. Especially when you know the eventual clones will come with multiples. I guess you could always swap a few over from later figures.

The only extra hand I really care about with this figure is a saber grip left hand, other than that, more is always good, but that's the only one I can think of pose ideas I can't execute without.

Definitely a good point. Unfortunately, the fact that nothing is mentioned about hands on the product page has me skeptical. I would also actually like a pistol grip hand (right OR left). Even though Obi-Wan hated blasters, I still think the Jedi would look cool in the armor and with blasters. I can see me working on a kitbash for that. Maybe with Greivous's blaster and a different Jedi. I think the swapping with future clones will lend help to this. I hope ToyAnxiety gets a bunch of the clones to part out if they come with extra hands.

The whole figure looks great, but it's the head paint apps that impress me most. To me, they're the best production apps from SSC, especially the beard, the mix of tones and everything is fantastic. I'm stunned that's the quality of the figure we're getting. It's the first showing that SSC's 1/6 figures can have the elaborate and quality apps of their higher end pieces.

Might be easy to get hands from Stormie or other clones to make it happen. Especially if a lot of them get parted out. Probably just have to paint them dark brown to match.

I might have to cancel mine just because this is coming out as the same time as IM. So i might be getting the regular cheaper elsewhere, but i do like this exclusive compared to some of the others so i'm going to try to work it.

Until notices go out, I'd hold off. IM or Obi-Wan may not arrive just when they're expected to. I don't know how apart you could use them being released, but you could be looking at a month or so at least between them depending. Until notices go out, there's just no telling, and there's no penalty to cancel up to the last minute, so wait it out and keep your order secure just incase.

:lecture:lecture:lecture

Yeah, I don't get why people cancel things they still want months in advance, unless they are worried they will forget to cancel later. :huh

That's why I like that SSC has no cancellation fees. Sure the policy is abused by folks, no doubt, but other faithful customers take comfort in the luxury of a flexible system that supports the fact that ^^^^ happens in life sometimes and what you can afford today you may not tomorrow and they don't punish you. Nothing against those who have fees, especially if they order product to meet demand and false demand is created.

And I am certain that the wait lists help to avoid penalties as well. They know they will sell them (and that is a good thing to me).

Sideshow really is a VERY collector-friendly company.

Of course, i'm not canceling until at least oct.
