The only reason that the franchise got "quiet" is because it was neglected by Luca$film.

INDY is every bit as good an important as SW... and I say even moreso due to the involvement of Spielberg.

Well, that's obviously something that can't be empirically measured, but from a pure marketing standpoint I would say that Star Wars is more important to Lucasfilm simply because there are so many more (and varied) characters, not to mention vehicles and spaceships. There are only so many Nazi/Russian soldiers and vehicles that one can make. And of course the Star Wars world seems to lend itself more to spin-offs of various types, since it's a whole universe rather than a fictionalized version of our past.

This has nothing to do with the relative quality of the movies themselves, mind you.

I'm not talking about just toys and merchandising, though. I know that's 95% of what drives and motivates Lucasfilm... and that is part of the problem.

It's also the only Lucasfilm franchise to have movies that overall are extremely well-done.

F U SW Prequels....you suck...except for Ewan McGregor

i like jedi babes and i am not ashamed to admit it.

thank you fan service

I have to say, now that I've seen the movies, I'm weary of the final paint apps on this figure. His 5 O'Clock shadow looks fine on the proto, but most of the SSC figures with subtle facial hair like that have come out with it strong like a full beard. I certainly hope it doesn't happen with Indy. If anything, just leave it flesh toned with the sculpted hairs, the shadows they'd create would be effective enough.

That's my one worry with this figure is the facial hair. However, with the way SS has been going at it lately I feel better than I might have in the past.

Ya, a year ago I'd have no hope, now I think it's a 50/50 toss up. We haven't seen a figure with minimal facial hair like Indy since the paint apps started scaling upward, so there's no precedent, Indy will set it.

Heck, I'm scared because the production paint apps will need to be BETTER than the prototype in order for me not to want to have all mine repainted... all SIX of them (because I'm getting 3 and each has the bonus head).

I agree with you Irish, and hoe the production paint looks better, but I have a fear and suspicion that we'll be lucky if he comes out looking something close to the pale zombie proto paint.

He needs to be darker and the eyes need to be painted more like that of what we see in the PF prototype.

Agreed, but all things considered, if the beard comes out really looking like dirt or a 5 O'Clock shadow and not a true beard like Faramir looked like, then I'll be happy, everything else would just be icing on the cake but Indy should NOT have paint looking like a beard.

:monkey2 :monkey2 :monkey2

And how ironic would it be if Sideshow's first Indy figure has more of a Zombie complextion than their last DEAD figure? :monkey1

Well, based on how things have been coming out of SS lately skin tone wise I'm not too worried. Can anything happen? Sure it can. Do I think it will? No not really.

I actually do believe that Sideshow will pull out all the stops for this figure. They're fans, too... plus they know how important this is. Indy is no Commander Praji. :lol

If I were Scott Klauder, I would be living & sleeping in the factory when this goes into production.

I'm curious to find out if heads made for Prometheus will be a soft, more rubber material like HT's figures are since they adopted the 2 joint neck.
