I'm thinking the head with the hat will be the one on the body.

And Sideshow should have some leeway as far as packaging. Check out Hasbro's crate-like packaging for their "Ticket To Adventure" mail-away premiums (Ark, Crystal Skeleton, etc):

But Hasbro was fairly free with the 30th Anniversary, they didn't have the cookie cutter designs like Gentle Giant, Sideshow, Kotbukiya, Master Replicas and other high end product makers had to. That's why I was curious if any high end stuff was out yet with packaging, could give an indicator.

Sad thing is, I'm not sure we'll see images anytime soon, I'm sure right now, they're so swamped with SDCC prep, production images and the likes are going to thin out for a while until resources become available again.

Well, here is Gentle Giant's packaging for the Crate Paperweight. Doesn't really mean much, though, as they've never been too keen on creative packaging and always take the easy way out:

If Sideshow has to use that same scheme, I'll puke. I'm already tired of seeing it.

That is a little to crisp and vibrant looking. Indy's packaging should look worn and faded like the LOTR packaging, reflect the environments of his adventures, the GG box looks very clean and commercial.

I doubt they'll be able too. I got a feeling this is what LFL will be demanding much like with the 30th Anniversary design.

Looking at the GG box there, I can already see the Sideshow figure image just slapped on in place of the crate. At this point, I'll be more surprised if the packaging isn't like GG.

Which will really suck. I wasn't a fan of this unimaginative design in the first place. Now... I'm already sick of seeing it everywhere.

Don't care what is on the box, just want a nice Indy figure.

Ultimately, that is the goal, but being in the graphics profession, I'm always eager to see new designs, particularly if they're inspiring, plus it gives something else to discuss while we wait.

I'd like to see a map motif include somewhere... like the scenes in which Indy is traveling and you get the moving red line from point to point. I do hope it looks better than the GG stuff... that design is just boring.

I thought Sideshow hires their own people to make box designs. Hopefully this is isn't the dictated design like the 30th Ann. Star Wars box was.

They do their own box designs, but if George's people throw some graphics at them and say you must follow this pattern, they are slaves to LFL.

Sideshow's website updated with an edition size for regular Indy: 7500. Personally, I thought it would have been higher with it being available for order for so long.

Did anyone see the Wal-Mart exclusive Indy Monopoly set? Pretty cool, comes in an actual wooden crate. Pretty sweet, I almost bought it just for the Hell of it. :lol

I do hope they get creative with the packaging though, I'll be interested to see what they give us. :duff

Yep, bought it-still wrapped. Opened the Life game-grail it close to 6th scale. My boys 10/7 played with me-fun. I think the box will look great-just think of what they have to work with. Also bought me some Newline shoes for him.

that is ridiculoulsly high, and yet, it still took forever and a day to sell out. These will be easy to come by on the secondary market, with a noticeable price drop.

I was thinking about this the other day, and wanted to clarify my opinion on the Indy head. Trevor's sculpt is amazing. The prototype though looks as though something went wrong. The proportions don't quite match the pictures of the original sculpt. Sideshow can really nail this figure if they can fix what it was that amiss in casting.
