I liked the hatless sculpt so much out of the box I really would like to display it now.

It's either Prof. Jones... or German Indy with bazooka (which might actually be a lot easier given the Dragon stuff out there). But now I'm obsessed with finding that brown tweed suit.

Saw that, it's just not right, plus its got crazy gangster stripes. Thanks though!

No, I know I saw one a long time ago that would work... gotta try to remember or find the pic I might have saved.

The only time I ever saw one was on a 12" Dirty Harry at Weekend of Heroes. GOD that didn't sound right! :lol

I'm looking for the correct suit for a custom Professor Jones too Wor-Gar. Please post here if you can remember where to find one. I hope that one has a bowtie like Indy did in Raiders.

I tried finding a brown suit with a vest when I was making my Prof. Broom Hellboy custom. It's not easy -- I eventually went with the Giles suit. A lot of the stuff on ebay looks like Barbie clothes.

And will the Cairo swordsman shoot first?

I know you're just joking. But Spielberg will not allow Lucas to muck with RAIDERS. In fact, he wasn't happy that ILM digitally removed the reflection of the cobra behind the safety glass in the infamous Well of Souls shot, but he did let that fly and kept it in. Lucas also had ILM produce an alternate digital shot of the nazi car going off the cliff during the desert truck chase. Spielberg nixed it immediately and kept the aging bluescreen model shot. So, I'd say there's no need to worry about significant RAIDERS alterations as long as Spielberg walks the Earth. And Ford would probably break Lucas' kneecaps, too.

Yeah, that's good to know. You get the feeling Lucas and Spielbergs friendship is more love/hate these days, I think the two egos just about tolerate each other 'creatively'.

Glad to know that Speilberg will only rape Indy in the present... and not do it retroactively :lol

I think the German Indy will be more fun than Professor Indy, so that's the direction I'll be going in.

But, wasn't there that whole walkie-talkie debacle in the re-release of E.T.? Is it just Indy that is sacred to him?

I'm surprised that no one is considering a map-room Indy with the extra head. I am contemplating doing one, I have a robe but not sure how well I can pull of the turban.

Obviously, there are some films that Spielberg will tinker with (E.T., Close Encounters). But there are others that he apparently does view as untouchable: Jaws, Raiders, Schindler's List, etc.

That said, even when he does add or change stuff to his films he has always made the original Theatrical Cut available as well (unlike his fellow bearded counterpart).

I'm considering it. But the robes (and turban) are actually more detailed than most think... and it might be difficult to source realistic fabric material. Also, I have a feeling that if Sideshow produces another 2 or more figures of Indy himself that would be one of them.
