Got mine today. Check out my pictures over at the image thread on this board for this figure. It's great, with a few minor problems. The body is VERY loose at the waist and neck. The top of my Indy's shirt has a weird tear at the top, and missing the top two buttons. That's the biggest problmes with mine.

Check out my pictures on this page...

I dont know if its been discussed yet, but you could use this Giles to bash a decent Professor Jones. You could use the hat less Indy head and would need an HT body.

Its not perfect but its an option if someone wanted to do it.

Yeah, that's what I'm planning on using for my Professor Jones. The only big differencex I see is the tie, and the glasses. Indy's is a bowtie, and his glasses remind me of John Lennon's popluar round eyeglasses. I wonder where I can find a good 1:6 scale bowtie and those type of glasses? Any ideas guys?

Which Prof. Jones are people doing?

Isn't Giles' suit gray, where Indy's should be brown?

Also, are you doing Prof. Jones from Raiders? If so, he had a tie, not a bow tie.

You can paint the outer rim of the classes and the tie Giles comes with can easily be made into a bow tie. Took me less than an hour to make the bow tie and paint the glasses. Everything fits nice and snug on the TT but you'll need to find another source for the shoes as Giles' are too small or take an exacto to his tootsies. I opted for a pair via Monkey Depot. Now it's just a matter of Sideshow pushing out all you 2nd-Day guys so they can finally mail my Indy to me so I can pop the non-hatted head on the body.

If I recall, Indy did not wear a bowtie in RAIDERS. Only the other two.

And the size/shape of the Giles glasses are wrong, but I know I have seen the correct ones out there somewhere in 1:6. I'm still looking.

Well with the not exactly complimentary reports coming in about certain aspects of this figure, and the low value of the Aussie dollar, I've just sent an email to SSC asking to cancel my first ever order with them. I just don't want to spend about US$150 (once you take shipping into account) on something that probably needs a repaint and has loose, sloppy joints. If I decide I can't live without it there is a local distributor who will be selling them at AU$150 (about US$100) and I just won't get the exclusive which I never was that excited by anyway. SSC, if only you'd actually processed the Australian orders at the same time as your locals you wouldn't be losing my money! :lol

Yep. My old age memory did not fail me this time. No bowtie in RAIDERS:

Let's be honest though. As I said earlier, I really don't think Sideshow's going to give us an "adventure gear" Indy for each of the films let alone a professor Indy from ROTLA. So bow tie or not, I'll have a generic representation of both Adventure Gear Indy and Professor Jones to span all 3 films until/if/when Sideshow decides to bless us with another offering. At this point, with everyone and their grandmother canceling their Indy lines and discounting current stock to shameful fire sale prices, I'm just glad we're getting what we are from Sideshow and plan to make the most of it.

I liked the hatless sculpt so much out of the box I really would like to display it now.

It's either Prof. Jones... or German Indy with bazooka (which might actually be a lot easier given the Dragon stuff out there). But now I'm obsessed with finding that brown tweed suit.
