SDCC is not about standing in lines. Sideshow makes it quick and easy to pick up your stuff and still have plenty of time to wander around the booth and check out all the new stuff.

I would have brought that right back to the hotel room. Preview Night I always pick up pre-order stuff and bring it back that night.

So can I get the SDCC Exclusive stuff just from the site, or do I actually need to be at SDCC?? I of course will have to wait to see if I really want anything from the lineup, but confused as to the ordering part.

They will probably post a preordering schedule in this week's newsletter. Last year it was like this:
Non-attendee orders started processing and shipping out a few days before SDCC started, I believe.
It was just last year that SS allowed you to pick stuff up PVN.

That sucks. I've gotten a SS Item at SDCC but that having to wait until Thursday would be horrible.

Actually, I had two large Sideshow bags, one in each hand, holding:

I didn't have a hotel that year. My hands were almost bleeding by the end of the day, and I almost couldn't get them to flex open enough to wrap them around the steering wheel for the long drive home.
In 2006, I got smart and stayed for a few days in a room at the Omni across the street. Last year, they moved it to the last week in July and I couldn't get down for more than one afternoon. This year, it's the same bad week and I haven't yet figured out a way to get down there at all. Hopefully, next year they will move off the last weekend of July...
