A new HT line based on real people?

Sports stars is my prediction. There was a pic of a HT proto of Brazilian soccer player Ronaldinho shown a while back and there's been nothing else about it since so I'm guessing they've been waiting to get a couple more protos ready before revealing the initial lineup.

Well, there are plenty of exciting possibilities to choose from famous "real" people...like world leaders, Nobel Prize winners, composers, poet laureates, even architects! What's not to like?

I'd guess something like that. I want a 12" Stephen Hawking figure like this.

I definitely hope its not sports, I'd have zero interest in that. But on the plus side it would save me some money. Historical figures would be cool, there are a lot of untapped famous people that could make cool figures.

Especially if they got into suits of armor and what-not.

From reading the description I get the impression it has nothing to do with film or tv. I guess it could be historical figures or military, but it doesn't sound like that either. That's why I could only think of music or sports as being likely.

That's a first for me, if you're right then it will be sports indeed. Not something I'd buy, I'm more for the history stuff.
Other than music it does make the most sense though.

I'd love a Elbert Einstein, Teddy Roosevelt, Joan of Arc, or Wright Brothers.

Musicians? Well, that would depend on which they chose to do.

Historical? Again, depending on who they did.

Me? I'd love to see a 1:6 line of police figures [TV/movie cops would ROCK!! ]

Or a long time favorite would be 1:6 character actors like John Saxon [Sunohc, weren't you thinking about him?], William Smith, William Forsythe, etc... Heads that could fit any genre!!

TV & movie cops? Hell yeah! Dirty Harry, Starsky & Hutch (TV originals, please), Kojak, Hawaii Five-Oh, Miami Vice, CSI Miami "H", just to name a very few. The only other thing I'd like to see done well would be historical figures, like famous conquerors, ancient warriors, armoured knights, etc.
