Well, I have Praji, because he came first. I don't have the space or cash to purchase both, although I prefer the character and grey outfit on Piett.

I ordered him too. BTW do you know if other stores will carry Piett? I'd rather order him from elsewhere since SS has high shipping costs plus taxes for EU. For now have my order at SS

Have to pass on this one. The quality just isn't there. It's a shame because I like the character.

Yep, and Tarkin could boss around Vader... Peitt didn't have that going for him.

Interesting relationship they had. In Tarkin's time, he was really Palpatine's main guy an Vader was merely a tool to see to it that things got done and the benefit of the Force for insurance, but post Death Star destruction, Vader become the number 1 guy to him and everyone else was at his mercy.

Since Tarkin died on the Death Star, his own creation, and Darth Vader already showing that there are more powerful things in the universe than the DS, Vader became number one replacing Tarkin.

The uberlarge head is so obvious on this on. Pity. First 12" i am a little disappointed seeing the pre-fotos.

I wonder if Amoktime will make a Peter Cushing figure to go along with Karloff...
Then we'd see a mad scrambling for Piett's uniform.

*runs to pre-order two Pietts*

I'd wager Tarkin's next, Imperial officer that is, not next figure announced. I wonder if SSC intentionally gauges fan's stance on things and plays to it. First Imperial Officer is Praji, if he's not well received because of something that can be fixed next time, they take the feedback and go with it. Then you do Piett, pretty favorable with fans, but still not THE guy to do so if you're still working out the kinks, you're safe. By the time you make the guy folks care most about, Tarkin, you've got it down.

I will say, Tarkin better be a Buck figure or they show a Pro figure with sculpted neck setup, his age, you need those defining lines in his neck like Trev did with Old Ben, plus he should have pretty broad shoulders and look commanding.

Wouldn't tarkin be better fit for a slimmer body though? I mean he's old in ANH.

Whatever body they use for Tarkin, it better be short. Also, I believe we won't see a Tarkin figure announced until Piett has been sold out (or close to) at SS. If SS were to announce Tarkin before Piett has shipped, there would be a TON of cancellations on Piett, as many can either afford only one Imperial officer or simply want one representation and Tarkin will definitely win out.

I don't want to pass on this but there are too many great items coming out this year. I had to cancell Antilles and won't be ordering the Admiral. Predator v1, Dutch, Cobras, Joes, Sandtrooper, Han carbonite is going to break the bank!!!!!!Maybe I'll have luck later down the line with these on the secondary market.

Have to admit I've always thought of Cushing as a man of slight build.
I saw him once when I was kid, about 8, I remember him being tall'ish (about 6 foot) but quite lanky.

Maybe it's just a visual deception between the Imperial uniform style and his hair cut and all, just seems like his head looks small compared ot his body at times in ANH.

6 feet tall? I always pictured him shorter. But he's definitely gaunt and lanky in SW. How about SS using a trooper prometheus body painted a skin tone so that it doesn't fill in the uniform?...

Well it was a long time ago in a gal.... ahem, sorry. Well it was in either 75 or 76 I cant quite remember. I was friends with a kid who's parents ran the posher of two pubs in the village I lived in, it's about 25 miles from Pinewood Studios.
I was visiting with him and there was a bit of a buz as Cushing had been spotted with a group of people having lunch in the pub garden. Apparently someone had asked for his autograph and he'd been polite and signed it, when asked what had brought him there he said he was filming a new science fiction film at Pinewood (little did I know then). I remember it vividly as I knew him from the Doctor Who movies, wish I'd asked for his autograph as well now. But as I say, through the mist of time I remember him being about 6 foot'ish, I'll have to see if I can Google it!
