Re: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series!

What I said wasn't in response to the particular criticisms of the show but to remarks like ''interest is fading'' and ''I'll give it one more episode'' - that does strike me as being impatient for an infant show to reach its full potential.

I'm in that boat. I don't see the big deal? I'm not going to continue to watch something that I personally think is dumb. My time is too important to me.

Now that said I haven't watched last nights yet. I'm looking forward to the red dress scene. :lol

I do find it funny that one person in particular "Cough" Nam gets all defensive when people say they don't like the show. I mean this is a person that ****s in movie threads when they aren't even out and continues to troll them. At least the people ****ting in this thread have actually watched it. :slap

Re: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series!

After last weeks episode I didn't even bother watching it again, Was it just as lame as the past two episodes?

Re: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series!

Sometimes I post things merely because I'm bored. If people think its just not worth their time, that's fine. Carry on :D

Yup and that's what I'll personally do. I guarantee you that if I stop watching I won't be back in the thread. :lecture

Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series!

The "cheapness" of the cinematography and choreography is not going away. That's what network tv is. Especially when budgets are stretched tight. Think about how much they spend on CGI just in episode 3. That doesn't leave much money for anything else I bet. Just wait until the inevitable bottle episode where they are "trapped" in the plane by a flux field positronic force mesh or something techy

This show reminds me of Lois & Clark and Sanctuary. That's not a good thing. I wonder how long before marvel realizes the show is hurting their brand and pulls the plug?

Re: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series!

they just made the series too cheesy with the teenager dialogs and action. Agent Melinda May and coulson were the only 2 characters that fit, the rest of the team might as well be from an ep of glee...Some humor is good but the episode itself still needs to be believable and somewhat serious. Heroes for example was a good series that got the balance right.

:lecture

The marvel setting and references to the avenger are the only thing that still keeps me watching, if this was just a noname new series no one would bothered because stripping away the marvel setting it is pretty horrible.

I think thats why people want to like it and give it one more episode. Like you sad if it was a standard show with none of that people wouldn't feel the need to keep trying it again.

This scene was very entertaining.

Right back to the butt again huh? You sure you're not a girl?

I think he's suffering a butt pain more of the "longing ache" variety. :lol

This show is building an overall story. Three segmented episodes aren't enough to begin to pick up on how good or bad it might be.

Anyone else catch that Coulson "muscle memory" comment? I think that was a hint.

Yeah, definitely a hint. Also, even though "I'm a bit rusty" is a pretty common term. It made me think of it as a double entendre of sorts. Something to do with the tinman and being a robot and rusting etc.... I dunno. Probably thinking too much about it, but whatever :lol

Re: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series!

I just caught the third episode.

Ehh.. I don't know, I'm still glass half full about it, but apart from Coulson's flying car - it just reminds me of stuff I've seen before across a plethora of TV shows following a certain format.

I'll keep watching though. :lol

Re: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series!

The comment about the cast being comparable to Glee - can't disagree. They really all could be playing high-schoolers - even the male lead action guy. Coulson and Mae could be teachers at the school.

I want to see more Ron Glass on the show!

That's only because we're used to 25-30 year olds playing highschool kids. ;)

Remember guys, this is supposed to be a group of misfits that all need to learn to rely on each other's strengths and weaknesses instead of acting solo. The show hasn't meshed yet because they haven't yet. I think that's the intention. They're not the team they will eventually be yet.

(glad that Fitz and Simmons' 'banter' was toned down a tad...hopefully it stays that way.)

I'm in it for the full season. I'm interested to see how this all pans out. It's still worth 42 mins of my time a week.

Re: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. TV series!

I haven't watched any of these yet. Any actual hero cameos? Did they explain how Coulson is alive?

In typical network tv fashion they are milking the coulson mystery probably the whole year. Thi is why cable tv excels. Shows like breaking bad and homeland don't milk these plot turns. That's why they are so great and shield is so average.

Maria hill and nick fury have cameoed

With May finally going active (which we all knew would happen), I think the show's finally starting to hit its stride.

The "muscle memory" remarks isn't anything more than them talking about a "conditioned reflex." It's the benchmark of self defense. If there's a hint to be had, it's May's, "you died" remark as Coulson's walking away after telling her he'll be the second man on the strike team.
