The theatre they showed it in held something like 220 people, so I am guessing Mondo had at least 200 for sale online. I think I heard Fairey is going to be releasing a different color version on his website at a later time.

Fairey just sold out of 450 copies of a print for the movie "The Last Mountain" that cost five bucks more, without half the run being sold at an event. He has enough fans to sell out anything he releases, but when you factor in Mondo and John Carpenter and the film that inspired Obey in the first place, you're going to end up with a popular print.

So glad that print does nothing for me. :lol

Glad for those that got it though.

Same here, but I was able to get it for someone else though. The Andre the giant face just killed it for me. I would of liked to of seen Fairey take a chance and do that with Roddy Pipers face. Then again that might of compromised his artistic beliefs or something like that.

I picked up Tong's Gryphon yesterday. (Meant to post earlier.)

His work is second to none right now, IMO. By far, my favorite artist as of late. I'll probably be selling a few of my loose prints from other artists to make room for this and his future work.

Only have enough coin for one at the moment and I've always been a sucker for McGee's interpretation of the chesire cat. I do like Tong's as well, but for my likes it was a no brainer :wink1:

Of the others, the Cat made me look twice, so I definitely understand. (Giving you a hard time too. :lol)

A friend of mine was at the 1988 Gallery the other night when Tong, Taylor, and others were there. Said all of the prints look really nice. Almost had him pick me one up, but opted to get one on the site. He didn't mention it, but apparently Mike Shinoda from Linkin Park did a 1-of piece for the show as well. Looks pretty nice. 100% of proceeds go to charity.

Long story short, I think we're in for a treat with these pieces.
