Close to 30 layers on this one--be prepared for a high price. This will be the most elaborate thing they've ever attempted. It would be worth the purchase even if it wasn't created by one of the greatest poster artists of all time and devoted to one of the great cinema classics of all time. I don't care what they charge, I want to see this thing in person.

For those interested in buying a copying of this Frankenstein poster, info on its size and pricing hasn't been released yet, but will be sent out soon via @MondoNews online. Check out this great poster directly below.

I might have to play hookey the day this gets released....

Glad they finally have an archive site up:

Although they need to update it with edition sizes.

Agreed on the edition size. It's nice to see what they have done in the past. A lot of cool posters I've never seen.

Granted I didn't hear of them back then, but I never knew they did a slapshot poster. I am officially jealous of anyone who owns one.

I'm guessing $250-275 for this because of the huge amount of layers and the intensive production process involved, plus the signature by Struzan. Could hit $300.

As far as I know, Mondo has never attempted a print with this many screens before. They could print five or six posters in the same amount of time, so expect to pay five or six times the usual price--and expect a lower edition size than usual.

Also, expect it to be one of the best looking things they've ever produced.

Hopefully for everyone's sake who really wants this, this will be true and turn off the flippers and fickle poster buyers.

I imagine that the price is going to put off several flippers--this release will be geared toward the more serious collectors.

If a flipper's thing is to grab a $50 poster and sell it overnight so that he can recoup his investment and eat out at Taco Bell on the profits after eBay and Paypal fees, this is not the poster for him.

but it's also Drew Struzan which will bring a lot of new buyers

And if it is that expensive people will have to pay when the order not like a pre-order.

Not a lot of people are ready to drop that much with little notice. Could really help to prevent an insane sell out time.

If its that expensive, of course.

The new buyers don't worry me too much--if you're not familiar with the Mondo release and purchase process, you're no real threat to me. These people wait for a Tweet and then go to the site to create their account. Then they complain later on Facebook. If you have some disposable income, a little bit of experience and a sturdy F5 key, you should be able to get your order in for this one. The newbies will be left in the dust.

The flippers who know what they're doing are my concern--and they won't be as likely as usual to snatch them up because of the price point.
