Can someone tell me what the big deal was with the Ansin Frankenstein variant? I saw both prints in person and they look near identical. Is the variant glow in the dark?

I've been looking at tons of auctions, none of them say it's GID, so . I can settle for the reg on it if I can get one for a descent price.

I found this description on ebay...Metallic inks on a whiter paper make this print differ from the original.

I am TRULY hoping that a board member can hook me up with a Martin Ansin Frankenstein print/poster. I had only planned on collecting a Mondo print for Frankenstein, The Bride Of Frankenstein, Son Of Frankenstein and The Mummy. What were all of the Universal Monsters posters offered at the show? Does anyone know?

DRACULA, FRANKENSTEIN, THE MUMMY, THE INVISIBLE MAN, THE BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN, THE WOLF MAN and THE CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. The main monsters were all represented (many with multiple prints each) except THE PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, whose sole piece was the Struzan painting. Nothing from the sequels (BRIDE excluded) or non-monster films like THE BLACK CAT.

As nice as it is, I'm not a huge fan of Ansin FRANKENSTEIN. I went with the Durieux instead as I find it a classier piece. Same with the Tong BRIDE OF FRANKENSTEIN. As beautiful as it is in person, and as clever as his design is, it just isn't very pleasant to look at and would make me uncomfortable staring me down from a wall. That's why I went with the Craig Drake instead.

Holy wow! That's the first I've seen of Tong's Bride. That is stunning and I'm not even a Frankenstein/Bride of fan. BEAUTIFUL colors and best I've seen from the pics that have been posted. I've always admired Tong's work and in many ways is my favorite artist in the Mondo rotation. I own his Alice and Things Made New prints. Nothing short of amazing.
