Its good....!I am playing on Hard mode, and it has its moments where its hard...not insanely annoying, but a good amount of challenge

yeah i almost started reading it, but stopped for fear of some spoilers. I've seen very little of Alan Wake because i want to play this game really fresh. So I think I'll read it after I finish the game. Also I love it when games come with soundtracks!

I just started the third chapter and love this game so far. The atmosphere is very reminiscent of Silent Hill. This game NEEDS to be played in 5.1 in the dark for sure.

Really, its a combo of: use light to take away the darkness, then shoot em.......often harder than it sounds at times

And 5.1 is a must....

My only issue with the sound: voices can often sound low while the atmospheric fx are loud by comparison

For anybody who has already finished the game: how's the replayability? I've been interested in this title since the anouncement, but for 10 or so hours of gameplay i won't plunk down 60 euros if afterwards the game will be never played again. Then I'd rather wait 'till its mid-price.

Read the book after you finish the game.

The book is like a sea of spoilers, besides you understand much better the game plot and "meaning" of the book once you beat the game

I'm about the same as you. Its pretty fun and scary, but I'm hoping to get to the town to see more peoples.

Does anyone know how to knock over the Beer Can Pyramids?? I'm want to get as many achievements out of the way before playing Nightmare mode.

Sorry Man, but you,ll have to wait for Ep5 to see the main town.. and something else....

Edit: I just remember: The Ep4 is more "agrarian" or "rural"

yeah I heard Nightmare is ridiculous. I'm playing normal right now, and you die so easily and fast once they start hitting you that I can't imagine how crazy it would be on Nightmare.

I was torn between this and RDD, but Amazon went and made up my mind for me. $10.00 off retail, plus a $10.00 games credit and a $5.00 MP3 credit. Went and made my purchase. (I'll probably end up using my credit on RDD when I get it, too.)
