I'm skipping the new statue they have and just getting this. Got him on order with a dealer for about $100 off and free shipping. ;)

I know he's Nosferatuish, but I actually quite dig it, and am happy to have had the chance to see this in person at SDCC. I do like the new Alien statue as well, but have successfully avoided ordering it thus far because I fear it would lead to buying more statues from the line. I don't love the pose on the statue either, so that helped stay my ordering.

And as for the Sano shown above. Yeah, that is droll-worthy. But alas, I have no more disposable income. A grand would be hard to part with right now for another Alien statue. But absolutely, that is a thing of beauty and I do envy anyone capable of ordering one up.

Quoting and reposting for awesomeness! :yess:

Me too! It's sick and disturbing, and I like the pose more and more. In person it was quite imposing. The little statues near it stood no chance of garnering my attention.

I'm with you guys.. At first I really didn't dig the pose at all really but, after staring at the pics every so often for a few months, it grew on me and now I wouldn't dare cancel my pre~order.

My collection would feel incomplete without this Chap standing in between my 1/4 SS Queen bust, 1/4 SS Warrior and also my 1/3 SS Dog. They'll look incredible together! I can't wait.

The paint app is killer too I might add.

On a side note.. I'm still debating on, if I really wanna pull the trigger on the Sano Chap also. The only thing holding me back is the large price tag for something so small. I really wish he sculpted it in 1/4 scale at least. I mean, I really don't mind smaller scales but it's the huge price that's hard to justify. Especially when Christmas is just around the corner. :gah:

ooo ... oh man I love this myself, got it on flex pay at the moment was ampt on it the first time i layed eyes on it .... but the sano one, that is probably no doubt in my mind thiat is the statue i must have. :)

... sideshow big chap .... second thoughts :thwak

The Sano is an amazing museum style and apparently quality piece, but a very static museum pose. The Sideshow piece seems to be eliciting the Alien as he may have been skulking around C level of the Nostromo, and is quite creepy.

I agree..

This is an actual conversation I had last night with my GF..

ME: "Hun, check out this Sano statue!"

HER: "Aren't you already getting one of those Alien Chap statue thingys?"

ME: "The 1/4 SS one? ..Yup"

HER: "Why do you need another one?"

ME: "Because, the SS version looks like he's alive, like the other SS Alien statues I already have and this Sano statue will be my museum piece. lol"

HER REACTION: :dunno :slap :cuckoo:

:rotfl ... if you can get them both :1-1:! Both are wonderful pieces, luckily the Sano one you have till January but I suggest as soon as you can, reserve a Sano before they all get sold out :whip

Good choice playa, no you cant go wrong and have regrets

... as for the misses she'll love them when she sees it in hand

You're right.. She always overreacts when I buy my statues. She mostly nags about how much they cost, but after i open the box her reaction changes a lot. That's when she's like "Whoa! that's really cool!" despite the fact that she's actually scared of the Alien statues at night when the lights are off, that's when she's like :gah: .. :lol

hahaha ... hey these things cost money . luckily my lady is quite supportive, she herself is a bit weary of the price but when she says the smile and grin on my face when i receive these statues, she knows it was a worthy spend. also she knows she can buy what ever she wants even if its shoes or clothes ...

man loving this pic ... :love

Hmmm....don't see the fascination with the Sano piece at all (and I'm in Japan!) - much prefer the Sideshow Big Chap.
