I'm going to be diving back into this game tonight. My daughter is with her mom and my girlfriend needs the house quiet to study.

(Just hope she is ok with me yelling "AHHHHHH!" Every once in a while)

Has anyone, after playing this game, became more mindful of any kind of noise in their environment? Like, I'm in the office right now, I'm like keeping track of every noise that sounds off. :lol

Only while I'm playing the game is my sense of hearing heightened.

I kid you not: I was playing last night, the Reactor mission, which if you've played you know the whole place is quite shaky... appropriately there were two earthquakes during those hours of the night.

Most immersive game ever!

And I am done! :thud:

Turns out you can use the Alien as a weapon and still get the No Kills Trophy :lol

I just caught a local TV station game review show, that reviewed this in a recent episode.

They gave it 8 / 10.

In short, they mentioned that, apart from the obvious attention to detail in capturing the aesthetic of the original film, it definitely delivers in the fright dept. However, certain things let the game down; like having to reload from the beginning if you die, due to no auto save points, some of the A.I being a little unresponsive at times, & one or two other minor things like an unnecessarily high amount of locked doors to mess with, & a lot of walking around before you actually encounter any menace of any kind - be it crew, androids, etc..

As far as I'm concerned though - from everything I've seen & read so far, it's a definite buy for me. :)

I disagree completely with their negative points there..

auto-saves only add to the tension of playing the game, and not using save terminals is just stupid
I never had an AI be unresponsive..... NEVER (PC)
granted there is lots of walking or in my case crouching and moving slowly :lol but I never considered it a chore
