I'm not sure if they've really mentioned ties to the first film outside of the Predalien, whether it's the same ship or not and all. Wolf is the lone survivor of a crashed ship in this film, that much is certain. If it's the same ship as AVP, then Wolf is one of the Predator crew because all of the hunters died in AVP.

I think hes just a recon Predator who was called in. Apprently hes the BESt of the BEST

I'm really excited about this movie now..look much better than the first AVP...story looks good..I love the idea of a lone predator hunter that is one of the ''good'' guy.

I don't think Wolf Pred is a survivor of the ship at all. He's the "cleaner" called in to fix the mess after the ship goes down.

I have to admit I do find it a little silly that the Pred/Alien can wipe out a whole ship of Preds. I mean come on, there were at least 20 Preds on the ship at the end of the first movie. Maybe it's not the same ship, at least I hope it's not because I find that to be ridiculous.

Other than that I am really looking forward to this film.

yeah but Kit, we dont know about that new kind of hybrid, he may be more ressourceful that a reg alien that came from a human for example.He may have some trait of the Predator, like beeing more of a hunter-like alien.I like the idea that this pred-alien is very dangerous and can kill a lot of predators.Much like a predator can easily kill a couple of reg aliens.the pred-alien is kinda of the revenge of the species...pred use the aliens for sports, now its the opposite.Anyway cant wait.

Oh I agree he should be bad ass, but not able to wipe out a whole ship of 20+ Preds. Then, along comes 1 Pred that's his equal or better.....I am thrilled about this movie and will go see it, but I just can;t see one Pred/Alien taking out 20+ Preds on a ship. Just my opinion.

..unless he catches them by surprise like the first and third aliens did with their victims.

Im anxious just to see this movie man. Now i REALLY wanna know what makes this ship crash

I want to see Predaliens fighting style, between the SSC maquette and the brief trailer clip, it definitely throws it's arms back as part of it's fighting, hopefully it's a well coreographed blend of Predator and Alien behaviors.

In today's Hollywood, definitely, but I'm sure it'll be one of those, they could end it here or carry it on type of endings. Even with AVP, you wanted to see where the hybrid went, but the storyline was closed enough that if they never went back to AVP movies, you wouldn't feel it was incomplete.

I think the directors mentioned on AVPGalaxy that it was going to be a stand-alone movie with few ties to the first AVP. They also said if they get to direct AVP3, it's going to be based in space a few months after ALIENS.
