playing AVP right now. loving the pred campaign and running on directx 11 with full graphics cranked looks amazing but the marines AI is so clunky and stupid. they all look stiff.

The best thing about AvP 2010 was the Alien campaign imo. They really nailed the feel of the alien if I'm remembering correctly.

I quite fancied playing an atmospheric corridor shooter. I think I'll pick up doom 3 BFG Edition instead for £12.00. It has 3d support too which is a bonus. I enjoyed the crap out of that game when it came out. If its rubbish well at least is £12.00 not £40.00.

I just looked up some of the reviewer numbers, average of 5/10. How can it turn out so horribly bad?

Definitely waiting until it's in the 20$ range.

To put things into perspective Gamespot gave the last AVP 5.5 and IGN gave it 8.5 !.

Damn this is frustrating. My order shipped out Sunday from Amazon, so I couldn't even wait until reviews came out to cancel it. Oh well, this is probably why I shouldn't order games until reviews are posted. The main reason I bought this game is for the MP, but if nobody else buys it what good is that going to do?

While driving to work I couldn't help but think why they couldn't make an Aliens game more like Dead Space? An actual survival horror game set in our favorite movie-verse? Thinking about this makes me want to bust out my Jaguar console and fire up AVP.
