Aside from the hype around the much loved ALIENS franchise, the concept of Gearbox making such a crap game is more astounding.

Gearbox is obviously a developer who cares more about their own independent franchises (like Borderlands and Brothers-in-Arms) than in handling what they claim is a "loved" license by them.

What a joke. As much as I love Borderlands, I hope this knocks them down a peg or two.

After reading through several pages of this thread, I think I'll just rent this game. So far, I'm not impressed from what I seen and heard. Very disappointed.

I tried to fight the big stupid Kenner Alien with the Power Loader, but I kept RUNNING THROUGH HIM.... And when I finally got his head so I could crush it, he got STUCK BEHIND A WALL AND I COULDN'T SEE ANYTHING. This game is the most unintentionally hilarious piece of **** ever.

Thank's for heads up on game. I was hoping this game would be just as cool as avp game was but a lot better and longer. I cant believe its bombing .Aliens is pure gold and love it . But i guess some can still f up a good cup of coffee somehow. I guess will be picking up DC game injuctice or deadspsace 3 b4 this ,and wait til can grab it at cheap price later on .Again thanks Optimatron for feedback on game. Maybe lucas arts or whoever did avp game last do the next Aliens or 2nd AVP game. Because i know they can program these games better with more inteligent aggressive opponents for us. Either way still will pick up sometime ...

I went into GameStop today and told them to put the $50 I had put down on the Limited Edition of this a long time ago toward BioShock Infinite.

I was referring to lucas arts programing better stormtroopers or other game company programing better enemys for us. Shouldnt brought up lucas arts other companys have had more aggressive enemys to fight for us like borderlands or the last avp aliens game were pretty good. I dont understand how they couldnt have went with the same people that did last avp game to help with this one. Its sounds like the programers from the movie grandmas boy programed this one.

Got the game, played it for 45 minutes or so. It's enjoyable, but definitely not oodles of fun -- nor is it all that immersive. You'd get the same mileage by making an Aliens-themed mod for Doom 3.

Borderlands was produced by the same people who did this piece of ****.

And the last AvP game was pretty dull.

That's a good way to describe it. I've made it to the third mission, and I can honestly say they should've just scrapped this game instead of giving us this. It's alright because it's more Aliens-verse, but the enemies just suck and it's not as cool as it should be to mow down people with the Pulse Rifle.

I think no one should do it, and they should stop making Aliens games.

I don't ever want to play another level in Hadley's Hope again. We've had that level since that Aliens game for the PS1. And every game since it, aside from Alien Res.

Can we get a new environment please?

A lot of possibiltys for preds or aliens and doesnt have to come from the movie's storys. Just need to right people to make them. Either way will buy this eventualy just to find out how horrible all are saying it is just glad didnt pay deposit or full retail for it right away like was planning.

I think people need to stop having a hard on for Aliens, and give Alien a go. Make that kind of game.

Slow, creepy horror RPG kind of thing. Make fighting the Alien something you WANT to avoid.

Keep it story based, and character based. I'd like to see that.

They did, it's called Dead Space.

EGM gave this 9/10 and they're the only ones I've seen who gave a positive rating. I'm kind of confused by that grade.

just finished the campaign. I found chapter 9 and 10 ok.
was ok fighting all the way to the dropship.
5 years in the making !! pfft more like 5 months.
the pc version looked nice but I saw so many glitches along the way.
The upgrading and ranking on this game are usless. I dint even care for it.
if you going to play it I say play only once. there is no need to go back.
what the hell happend to the E3 demo they showed us. this was a different game. someone will get fired for this fiasco.
the last fight with the queen was kind of tense. I was actually scared of her but it is the lamest way to kill her.
The story was so weak in this game and I dint even care for no one in the game well it was cool to shoot some guns with hicks.
well I am glad I got this off my list and unistalled. waste of HD space.
5/10 for me.
guys if you going to play it is a rental or wait for it at the bargain bin.
no need to pay 70bucs for 5hrs campaign and terrible multiplayer.
