Lol nice, LD is confused.

If this game didn't have the Alien tie in you wouldn't consider playing it.

Not sure what you mean by this. :dunno

it means that since you love aliens so much you are willing to look pass all the problems,

let me guess, you love Alien Vs Predator and Alien Vs Predator Requiem too, (What am I saying your signature is from them :rotfl:rotfl)

Jeez alien just can't catch a break. I'm not sure with Prometheus but this game was supposed to be another big hit in alien lore it it just failed hard.

Prometheus was okay but I REALLY hate how the Alien Universe went from being about these scary alien creatures being hunted by a corporation

to suddenly we (humans) are pretty much brother and sister with the aliens now.... God is some weird albino aliens and we probably share some DNA with the Aliens now, I mean, the movies went from "evil corporation trying to capture the aliens" to, "our existence and the aliens existence are connected, Ripley meeting the ALIEN was fate, they come from the same creator you see"

That would be like finding out that Predators gave mankind technology and helped us build the pyramids just for hunting....oh wait :slap

There's nothing in prometheus that suggests we are anything to do with the Aliens.

The film still leaves it open as to whether the Alien is something the Engineers "Engineered" or discovered from another planet. They are depicted worshipping the Alien in the murals on the wall in Prometheus plus the alien eggs themselves are potentially older than the black goo or something completely different but connected.

At the end of the day, I don't really find it that much of a stretch that a creature with 2 arms, 2 legs, an elongated skull, ribcage and body that resembles a humans - is just pure coincidence.

I'm glad they tried something different. After the abominations that were AVP and AVPR I was sick to the **** of seeing men in rubber suits jump out on people.

yeah but still I didn't like the implications, they took a simple plot (Alien franchise) and made it larger than life and made it too big for me,

Is like making a movie where we find out E.T. was responsible for the pyramids in Egypt or something like that, (just a stupid example)

The Thing I hate the most is that Ridley Scott pretty much ripped off Mountains of Madness, Is not even an original idea, Mountains of Madness is almost like Prometheus but much much much better.

Any story that runs from - "Aliens put us on Earth" is hardly original. They've been around for the past 80 years. The original Alien movie is just about as basic as it gets.

The Alien franchise was dead in the water - unsuccessful third entry followed by terrible fourth entry followed by two VS B style movies from crappy directors. Ridley still did the right thing whether or not it was a good movie.

At least there's hope that Prometheus 2 might expand out and show us some alternate alien designs or other creatures.

If poometheus is canon then AVP has to count as canon as well. You can't pick and choose.
poometheus is not a true prequel but fans say it is, the events in Prometheus don't add up with the Alien Universe (What about Weyland in Alien 3?)

so, Either poometheus doesn't count or it does count but then AVP counts too

That is why I believe they should leave the series alone. No more prequels or sequels.

Maybe reboot the series so we get a different view of the same sequence of events, with better special effects, fresh faces, and little additions to fill in the plot-holes in the series.

It won't take anything away from the originals this way. Fans who don't like the new take could simply ignore it because it wouldn't affect the continuation of the original trilogy. (Alien Resurrection is an abomination and thus does not count)

The problem is that they keep trying to add to the story, and as the saying goes ... "too many hands spoils the pot".

I personally thought Alien 3 was worst than Alien 4. at least alien 4 had a real plot ( I know the plot sucked) and it actually had aliens.
The Alien in Alien 3 was kind of pathetic and the story was really long dull and boring.
Alien 3 for me is worst than any other alien movie made (Including AVP)
