^^ Refuse to click play on that one. I know Jerry Cantrell is a huge Nickelback fan, which just about makes my head explode.

In my mind, as I said before, Alien and Aliens are canon. Alien 3 is a'aight, but I prefer to think of the saga as over after Aliens, and I don't try to imagine what happens after that. Same with Terminator 2 being the end of that franchise in my mind. I don't care what the creators or studios say, that's it for me.

I think this franchise could still be viable, but to do that I think they would need to bring on some good, creative talent. And at that point, whether or not they ignore what came before or not isn't as important as just making a decent movie with good storytelling and acting. Like Abrams did with Star Trek, or Nolan did with Batman. The basic core of Alien/s is very cool and distinctive, and there are a lot of places those kinds of stories can go. But step one is take away crappy, hack creative teams.

Karamazov nailed it.

Not sure about that. Anyone who thinks Alien 3 is the worst of the franchise, and calles Prometheus "poomethus"...well. :dunno

Ah Celtic, How I missed you :1-1:
As far as poometheus I was just having a bit of fun :lol

The movie is good, on its own,
As far as being Alien related, it sucks, I really wish it was not related to alien in any way, I Wish they just made an entire separate Universe for it.
Besides poometheus is just one gigantic rip off of the better story At the Mountains of Madness

Alien 3. most people would agree with me, most people do not like Alien 3. I know you guys do and that's okay, but the final verdict is that the movie sucks,

Even David Fincher himself hates it, and didn't have a good experience
I mean, even the guy that worked on it didn't like it.

David Fincher "No one hated it more than me; to this day, no one hates it more than me,"

well a lot of people hate it, I think the amount of people that hate it is greater than the amount of people that like it by a lot.

Doesn't mean it's objectively bad. It's not uncommon for an artist to dislike their work despite others enjoying it. Not only that, but A3 wasn't only Fincher's. The production of that movie was nothing short of hellish. I'm amazed it turned out as well as it did (the special edition cut, anyway).

the same thing could be said for AVP lol, I'm sure someone out there loves that movie, just ask MasterSafara :rotfl

I liked Alien 3 a lot myself. Dog alien was a cool idea IMO and it made the Alien formidable again. Aso liked Resurrection. Weird movie in a lot of ways, but it's a fun watch. AvP wasn't that bad IMO. It wasn't good, but it was watchable for me. Reqium reeked of a$$ though. The only movie here that I've yet to watch again.

Predators was a disappointment to me. Had promise, but felt flat and uninspired.

I enjoyed Prometheus. Visually stunning with a weird stor that kept me guessing. It has it's issues, but I liked it. I dont really care if it's canon or not.

Bingo.........
