Ok, another predator/aliens question. Can somebody kindly tell me how many predators and how many aliens has Hot Toys released? And what is the difference between them.

Thank you,

Luis

Long post.. but you asked for it. :lol

Here's a question: Why do the T-800 and T-1000 shoot each other all through T2 when it clearly does nothing to stop either, AND, they both know it won't before they even start?

Give me a good answer, Nicky. I'm counting on you.

i think the 800 was attempting to slow the 1000 down to buy enough time to get away. we refer to it as breaking contact in army jargon.

as for the 1000, maybe it was attacking at a distance in order to disrupt enough to close and kill connor. same with t1 and t3 now that i think about it. all the 1000 had to do was get close enough to john whether or not the 800 survived.

at least in principle, it wouldn't be much of an action movie if it was two guys walking firmly and shoving each other until one fell over long enough for the other to attain it's objective.

Hmm. I guess because what else are they going to do. They're just using what they have. The T-800 happened to acquire a more powerful gun which at least had some effect on the T-1000 - it slowed him down a bit. The alternative is to keep engaging him in hand to hand combat and the T-800 would risk coming off the worse each time leaving the T-1000 free to go after John. Not sure why the T-1000 bothered firing that pistol though.

I always thought of slowing it down. It the T-800 get's hit in the eye it has to affect it's vision somewhat. As for the T-1000 that thing was just a monster.

If the T-1000 was an advanced prototype, where did Shirley Manson come from in Chronicles, and what was her mission as an exec for some company?

I didn't stick with the series after Cameron had her emotional ballerina meltdown. LAME.

tscc exists outside of the movies. kinda like the highlander series.

the weaver t-1001, (not a typo it's listed as that in prod notes) was made out to have been sent back in time and be responsible for skynet's creation ala a robotic kyle reese. however,
by the final ep, it turns out she was sent back to create a second "good" skynet (john henry) supposedly on behalf of a faction of "free machines" that could ally with the resistance to take out skynet. they REALLY took a lot from BSG by the end.

AVP:R - Wolf

AVP:R - Wolf (Cleaner Kit Version)
3641dsc1050a3x4.jpg

  • Hand-held cannon*
  • Removable battle damaged Predator mask*
  • Corrosive liquid container*
  • Syringe*
  • Cleaner case*
  • Interchangeable open and closed mandibles*
  • Alien corpse display base*
  • Sideshow Exclusive: Alien Chestburster

But it doesn't have the Open Shuriken, Poseable Whip or undamaged Bio which only comes with the Regular Version of Wolf. The Cleaner Kit Wolf also doesn't have a second Plasma cannon attached to the armor. You get the Hand-held cannon instead. But the attachment IS on the armor.. so you CAN mod it if you want.

Other differences not mentioned: The Regular Wolf comes with netting that looks like a T-Shirt, with an elastic string (seperate). You attach the string between the legs from front to back to the netting to keep it from riding up on the stomach. The Cleaner Kit and Ex. comes with netting that has like underwear so you don't need to go through all that fuss.

Also I've heard from more than a few people that the paint work is better on the Cleaner Kit Wolf.

AVP:R - Wolf (EX. Cleaner Kit Version)

Same as The regular Cleaner Kit Wolf except the Ex. comes with am Alien Chestburster.

Good reply, but not sure of some terms. Please elaborate on

robotic Kyle Reese

John Henry

BSG

free machines? why kind of utter crap is that?

Where in Satan's bung-hole is the Hot Toys original Alien?

:rotfl

It probably came out looking like a turd, so they shoved it back in.

Seriously though, WTF is the hold up. 30th birthday is past. Sideshow says they have 1/4 Alien goodness coming soon in their latest Ask Sidshow though. SDCC maybe?

robotic kyle reese, i was attempting to use a metaphor, meaning that weaver was sent back to supposedly create skynet, much in the same way reese was sent back to father john

john henry is the cromartie (killed off halfway thru season 2) t-888 body hooked into weaver's ai project that was supposedly to become skynet. he acts like an avatar for the ai to interact with people.

BSG, battlestar galactica.

yeah, the story spins so far out of control.

With the T-1000 bullets at least slow it down but the T-800 is like a Tank! The T-1000, being a anti-terminator prototype probably has been programmed to take out any rogue units it encounters.

Why NO faith in me man? I thought we were friends :( :lol

Wow, that does sound an awful lot like BSG. I liked BSG. I thought they ended that show very well even though Ghost Thrace was a bit of a stretch.

Thinks for the TSCC info. As much as I couldn't abide the show anymore, I was still curious as to where it went
especially when I caught the last two minutes of the final episode with John bouncing forward in time.

sure thing! great presentation, bad story.

OT
ghost kara was sent back by "whatever it is" to serve one purpose, that was to punch in those numbers on the jump board. the rest was her trying to tie up loose ends in her past life. she was dead the whole time. and when she was done and felt complete, poof. i like the parallel with the goddess aurora whose sole purpose is to lead the world to dawn ever morning.

t-1000 was an infiltrator , the t-x was an anti-terminator unit built to combat the resistance's inventory of reprogrammed terminators.

Despite the overall feel of T3 and the portrayal of the T-X (which I liked, but most lots of other don't) I really loved the idea of Skynet having to make an anti-Terminator Terminator to fight its own machines.

My only problem then goes back to there being so much Skynet is able to do even though the defense grid (whatever that really is) is smashed and the resistance has the time displacement equipment. It's kinda lame to think that Skynet sent all three Terminators back to different times just in case, and all before the resistance took over.

Here's a thought. Hypothetically, what if things didn't happen in the order we thought? What if Skynet had sent its best infiltrator to '94 first to kill young John before the war, believing it was a sinch win, but the resistance repogrammed the second best, but toughest Terminator, the 800, to go after it. The result was an alternate timeline, but still John exists. So Skynet decides to go after his mother before he is born. It sends another Arnold to '84, so that when the one shows up in '94, it may not be trusted so much. That doesn't work either, so Skynet gives up on taking out John, and instead goes after his lieutenants instead (and John if it's lucky), and sends an anti-Terminator in case another Terminator is sent to defend.

I like that idea.
