I'm happy to hear Chris is doing the castings. I've got some of his other pieces and they are by far, the best castings I have ever seen.

I'm not familiar with Angie's work, but from the sounds of it it's a no brainer.

I believe you're absolutely right, resin model kits that will need to be assembled and painted. Looks there will be quite a few parts involved, too. It's way to early to start making wild predictions, but maybe someone here will offer to assemble and paint some kits for people who want theirs already finished.

If you haven't already done so, looking back over the screen shots and other pics previously posted here should yield quite a few markings that can be clearly read. That should at least give you enough to get started. Hopefully we'll find some more detailed info and/or pics later on. Waterslide decals would probably be best for this type of model, as they're nearly invisible after they're sealed. I'm sure someone (meaning pjam) will be contacting you as this project gets fully underway, so please, don't leave town!

Welcome to the party and it is NOT too late, this project won't get started until early October so we will be adding to the list up until the master kits go out out to Chris for casting.

But, because you are a new member and I don't know you (yet) and I am the the head idiot in charge I have to ask that if you are added to the list you agree that the kit(s) will be purchased for your personal collection only and for no other purpose.

This applies to everyone on the list so you are not being singled out, I hope you understand and please accept my apologies in advance for asking.

Other Updates:

Mudshark may be joining STENDEC in assisting Angie with specs on certain parts, he has experience in mechanical drawing, anyway, no official announcement yet but, helps split some of the chores and Angie has approved of this and what Angie wants, Angie gets, she is the Bossman and makes all decisions. STENDEC is already on board.

DBoz, yeah, I mentioned someone may want to make decals and I would highly recommend DBoz to all and thanks for offering Bro, your stuff is THE best.

These will be resin kits...

Absolutely nash, the more units we produce, the less the unit price should be for all of us BUT I WILL be setting an Edition Size. Don't know yet what it will be BUT it will not exceed 100 Units for basically the closest to cost per unit reasonable. And this one time lowest possible cost deal will be Exclusive to SSF Members Only.

62 kits, 1 Member unaccounted for (assuming one) comes to 63 potential kit orders out of a Maximum ES of 100 kits. Each SSF Member ordering a kit must agree that this special one time SSF offer price (tbd) will be for the personal use and Collection of the Buyer and for no other purpose.

I agree with you pjam, that the sentry guns will ONLY be used by me, and no one else only as an addition to my collection of the Hot Toys ALIENS marines. I just want to display them next to my marines. I'm still okay with ordering 4 of them...if the price will be reasonable, which I know you've said before that it should be. But, yes, I only plan on putting these guns in my collection for display purposes.

Yeah, thanks guys, but you don't need to agree to all this here (unless I don't know you). It will be a condition of the sale so when that time comes I just want you to know in advance that it should be understood.

Lots of reasons for this... scalpers or someone who might sell it to another poacher caster and reproduce kits without permission, etc. I'm fronting the money for this, managing it, developing it, taking all the risk, etc. so I hope you all understand.
