Paul, this project is really getting my excited. Nice job on the all planning and work you have put into it.

Price depending, can you temporarily add one more for me? I've definitely committed to one, but may just need 2 now!

Thanks.

Reiny: Thanks Bro, updated. I recommend a set of 2.

This is why...

They were set up A and B in one corridor and C and D in another as you know. I'm buying 2 for display...

Still waiting on kit part casting estimate...

Wow, incredible! Is that one of the new HT ALIENS warrior aliens pjam? I want to get at least one someday soon. Awesome detail. It's great! :D

I'd like to have one of those Aliens. It's just too bad that it's not movie accurate.

Not sure if customizing is possible on a figure like this either. :(

This has been raised on various forums before and to be honest , I think the "not screen accurate" theory doesn't hold much water . What are we refering to ? The lycra and rubber suits worn by the performers or the animatronic puppets ? There were detail variations between all the different media used to bring the Alien warriors to life and as such , a definitive warrior doesn't really exist . It appears H.T have taken the best elements from the various versions and as far as I'm concerned , this looks superb and as good a 1/6 Xenomorph as we're likely to see . ( I've got a feeling I'm going to need more than one!):D

Well said TG. This is one I most definitely dig, and yeah, I'm now thinking one may not be enough. It is without doubt the best Aliens Warrior ever made IMO.

Not sure if this has been asked and/or answered already but I'll ask again. Can a person order 4 of the guns but change the order if the total cost gets too high? If so, put me down for 4!!
Also, what were those other weapons that Angie did and are they available?
Thanks guys!

You are free to change your order up to the time we lock in on the ES. To make things more manageable for me I suggest we keep the count as is until we get some kind of rough estimate.

Sad.

Best ALIENS Warrior ever made!? Are you serious?
I don't mean to step on anybodies toes, but come on!

How can you be blinded by the hype?

Palisades was closest when it comes to accuracy. Though not a figure, the differences between Hot Toys and Theirs are clear.
Warrior_Alien-statue-l.jpg

They had the same references as H.T. and look at what they came up with.

Don't get me wrong, I am still getting one of the H.T.'s, but if you look at what they did with the Marines and Predators......this Alien leaves a lot of room for improvement.

I'm an alien nut, so believe me when I say...... not accurate.

Not sad to me... I love the look of this fig... and there's nothing anyone can say that will change that. Blinded by Hype? Please don't be so presumptuous with Ardent Collectors...

Maybe this discussion is better served on the Aliens thread anyway...

I'm completely with you on this Facebox. It's inaccurate and HT got the sculpt right on their 5" version! Why they couldn't do it on their 1/6 version is a complete mystery.
I'm getting one but it won't go down as the best from Hot Toys in my book.

I totally agree with Thundergod on this. I don't see how you can say something is not accurate when there were variations among the costumes in the movie. Putting that aside, Aliens are biological beings, which by their very nature are meant to take on characteristics from their hosts, therefore, it would stand to reason that each one would be different. To me, saying that this Alien is not accurate is like saying that one a person is not "accurate" because they don't look identical to their parents.

The pistol and sci fi gun were commissioned by OSW member Miketek. He usually offers casts, but I don't know if these are still available. Here's a link to the thread on the revolver https://www.onesixthwarriors.com/forum/showthread.php?t=60224&highlight=angie+portman

The M14 SOPMOD was produced in a limited run by OSW member Spartan Rex. They can be found periodically on ebay, but usually are pretty pricey.

I'm arriving late to the party here Paul, just noticed this thread. Anyways, I'm definitely interested too! :D

Hey Indy
Give me a number bro, depending on what Chris says I may have to shut down the ES for these kits soon...

So, I looked through the pics in this thread to try and see what would be needed for the Sentry Gun decals. Here is what I have so far:

on the gun's right side is the following (in yellow):
Double Delta PL Base
Laser Diode Setting

And just below that is (in white):
Serial No. 0141 (the first two numbers are obscured by a rivet, so I guessed.

On the back is the Letter designation A, B, C or D (in white)

On the D gun, under the letter designation is (in white): 1Z 3270 or possibly 12 3770 (the C gun has nothing under the designator, and I don't know about A or B)

On the top, there are two stripes. A white one going down the middle and a yellow going down part of the side.

On the right side of the gun near the scope there is a marking in white(see picture): DM or OM ?

Finally, the control unit thingy (see pic) has markings on it, but I don't know what they are.

That is what I have found so far. Obviously we will probably need screen decals for the laptops, but I have lots of pics of those and they will be no problem. What I would like to ask is for other's input and possibly if someone with the DVD extra disk could check it out for closer pics of these parts.

One final note on waterslide decals. The paper comes in clear and white. The clear will make a decal that will show the paint underneath. However, you cannot do white on an inkjet printer, therefore, if you have white graphics, they must be printed on white decal paper. My experience is that yellow comes out much brighter if printed on white decal paper as well. The problem this causes is that the graphic must then be created with a background colored to match the paint it is going over. This can be tricky to match. The other option is to change all the white stuff to yellow and print it on the clear paper, but the colors will be subdued and not look as good, in my opinion.

Here's an example of some decals I made for ammo cans to get an idea of what I'm talking about:
ammo_cans_sm.jpg

And here is one on an ammo can:
ammo03.jpg

The decals you made for the ammo cans look great, DBoz. I'm looking forward to seeing what you do for the computer screens. Btw, the power unit looks like a modified radio and battery case, but if we don't find any definitive pics of what it says, then you could probably fake it with something appropriate sounding. Hopefully, someone will find a decent screen shot to work from, tho. Keep up the good work!

First of all , I do not appreciate being referred to as sad . I am NOT blinded by the hype . I have been building , painting and sculpting Alien figures/models/kits since the early nineties so therefor know that "better" Alien sculptures have been produced . The point is THIS IS A 1/6 SCALE ACTION FIGURE and as such is a different beast (sic!) and the design and production concerns involved are also different . I stand by my previous post because if we had a 100% accurate Xenomorph , it would be an action figure of a skinny guy in a leotard with bits of rubber detailing glued on ! Or , alternatively , half an animatronic puppet with a team of hairy arsed puppeteers atached by rods!
