For me, the best feature of this warrior figure is the teeth, the angles, the metallic shine, the sharpness and length, they really look like they'll **** you up, and when you have the jaw locked open with the inner jaw protruding, it just looks so evil, it's great. Like I said, someone, they got character in this figure to take it beyond being just a figure.

Edwint, not sure what your fandom of Aliens is, but if you like it enough, it's a really great combo to have a marine to go with this warrior, especially Hicks if you can manage to get your hands on one of those.

couldn't agree more on the finishing of this fig, man..=)..as for me..its just monsters for me when it comes to alien and pred franchise!!heehee..i gotta find some time pose these 2 fellas together sometime..=p

Hey! Maulfan, can you make a Wallpaper of that for us????( 1024 x 768 my screen size if you can...).
I would LOVE to have that as a wallpaper, even if you have to trim it down or put black bars on it or something.

It looks AWESOME so far as a graphic though! Great work!



Paul, regarding retouching my Alien, so far all I have done is hit the highlights with a very light tan, and some washes here and there. Used some Dark Earth tan, and have hit gloss black washes in some of the rubber cracks, as it is a tad inconsistant dark colorwise, except for shadows of course, and am glossing over that where I can.
Waterbased paint won't stick well to the rubber, so that is precarious paintwise, but the arms and legs are getting the treatment, and taking it well, and will be more visually pleasing since, without any highlighting, all you notice is the overall limb shapes, which are more borrowed from the AVP body roots HT used. But, with the lines and highlighting, as simple as it is, they look WAY more accurate. Takes your eye off the shape and you see the Giger-ness of it all.
It's a REALLY simple repaint. Not much to do. Almost like drybrushing the body parts with a light tan. Anyone can do it to their own. Really. Not all that hard or time consuming. Just have some refs handy.

That's great news because I think I will want mine "Lesterized". The neck detail looks so pronounced with yours, was wondering about that, can see all the gut sculpting, didn't notice it before. Looks uber cool dude.

Well, I balanced my figure painting with some more computer work tonight. I worked on constructing the minimally seen ceiling elements for the crawlers, pipes, emergency lighting, support rigs. I also completed the lighting and coloring of the foremost warrior of the piece. Les, I will make it into wallpaper for my fellow Aliens freaks, and I'll work it to look really nice in the end, but I added the logo text to show I have that font and can add that to the final composition. Paul, I'll not likely be able to GIF them moving, but I may be able to GIF a light pan of Hicks flash light from one side another revealing them all, I'll see what I can do.

Here's my take on Rip:

If you're getting a PL you'll need 2. The boxed fig and the PL fig... here's why. The boxed fig is on a shorter (Vas) body and her height needs to be altered to bring her correct height to match/pose with the Marines. Les did mine.

The PL Rip will also be on a shorter body to fit the PL and fight the Queen, fine, but she'll come without the harness which she wore while battling the Queen as well as all her gear and weaponry... and will have an alternate HS.

So, you'll need one Marine Rip and one with the PL.
