ALIENS THE OFFICIAL MOVIE THREAD

I looked around a bit, didn't see that anyone has posted about it yet so SSC is going to unveil a Aliens Warrior repaint at SDCC:

14" Alien Warrior - Aliens - Repaint

So, any speculation on what it will look like?
I'm thinking it will be a blooded version, maybe a brown version.

That's terrible news, but at least it's just the seams and not the rubber suit itself. I haven't seen any problems with my Brown AVP Alien and he's usually static on the shelf, haven't even used Armor-All yet.
I'd put the warrior up in a cabinet that doesn't get too hot while I'm away.
And I agree with MaulFan, don't leave the jaw open and extended for long periods of time. I played with this feature a couple times when I first got the AVP Brown and haven't used it since.

All the more reason why I would've preferred an all plastic body with fewer joints to the rubber bod.

Well... I used ArmorAll and it seems like the alien has come back to life.
There's no damage to the paint etc. And it looks better than new. I'd just advise anyone trying this to avoid the clear dome.

Furthermore, I used gorilla-glue on the seams and I don't think they'll ever open again. :emperor

So... the rightful order has been restored. All is well in the universe. :chew

Repaint's not talking to me...looks like a bee! WEIRD choice to make there... I prefer the blued one over this. I guess it is something for the collector completist though.

But, LOOK AT THAT SMOKIN' PREDATOR 2! Jeezzuuuzzz! He rocks!

Liking the AVP2 guy too. Wonder where shots of the AVP2 Alien is?

BTW, I have been thinking of cancelling my Powerloader, what with so much going on here, but, the new shots reenergized my desire. Thanks for posting those! NO WAY I am losing it now!

(Oh, and from the looks of things, no way you can make Powerloader riding Ripley taller. Looks like she just fits. Food for thought...)

Call me a completest, I like it! Something about the brown colors that appeals more to me then the blue ones. I'm definitely going to get one, I'll probably will own this before I get around to ordering the blue version.

WOW! The power loader with Ripley looks so friggin' sweet! My first "flex-pay" payment for it with Sideshow hits next weekend. I definitely want that Predator 2, and the Elder Predator 2! I may....may...get that different looking alien. Looks kinda like a "tiger-stripe" paint job on him! Very different for sure! Not the normal blue or black tones in there. Are these new pictures from the San Diego Comic Con aka SDCC going on now? I have a friend there this week that'll hopefully take many pictures of all of this for me.

I like this interpretation of Rip, of course she will be on a shorter Vas body but considering HT always IMPROVES from proto (unlike some *cough* others) I think she'll look a'ight to me.

I was condsidering the alternate warrior in concept, but now that I've seen it, can't quite tell what they're thought process was on the paint apps. PL is looking good, Rip could use a more pissed face though.

Well all of these are prototypes, and "works in progress". So, hopefully Hot Toys will give Ripley more of that "Get away from her you *****" attitude on her face in the final product. I hope so!

well I just bought my first official Hot Toys figure the other day (Robocop - gun arm version), and I just KNOW I'm going to have to get that power loader... and ED 209... lol

I thought they were giving Ripley a different head sculpt though?

I'm digging the PL and the P2 preds, awesoem stuff! The Aliens repaint is meh...
Which is good, 'cause that way I don't have to buy it!

Thanks for the advice, JediMike. I've given serious consideration to that idea. But, unless this website tells me they sold out and forgot to post it, I have found a Hicks for the same price as it originally ran on Sideshow:https://www.hotmovieprops.com/aliens-hicks-12inch-fully-poseable-model-kit-p-1230.html So, I hope anyone who hasn't gotten a Hicks with find this useful... unless, of course, it is actually sold out. I was just watching the videos on the Sideshow site, the rotating light on top works perfectly like in the film, but they also have lights in the harness that light up Riply like the film too, I didn't know it'd have those too, this piece is just SICK!!!

Go to Sideshow's Comic Con page, the map now has flash video files for every table they have setup with one of their employees talking about the items and showing off various features, really good stuff.
