Paul, you should weather those BDUs, it looks so nice when they have a nice used look to them, and it's relatively easy to accomplish.

Maulfan...how do you weather the BDUs? I want to weather mine for my marines. Please let us know here. Thanks! :D

Thanks MF but I don't completely agree. Firstly, my Hicks and Hudson's BDU's were weathered by Darkartist, and they were the most important to have this done as these fig characters survived the longest in the film... except Bishop and Gorman of course. Drake and Apone really don't need it IMO because they didn't last very long into the battle. Apone's BDU's were actually quite crisp in the film and he went down early as did Drake so I didn't choose to have them done as they got dirtied the least. Vas, yeah, maybe, she got pretty dirtied up. I also had Josh detail Vas' chestplate and Hudson and Hick's armor so it might be more important to detail Apone's armor too at some point... just to be consistent.

I guess it depends on how you want to display your figs. For me I kinda like them as they are now. :D

Just had to post this pic again to show how Rip can look pissed if posed right...

Here's another pic I posted pre-leg surgery on the old locked Alien supethread. Here, her neck was NOT bent down but if you do that and get her chin tucked closer to her shoulders she definitely looks fairly pissed off. Which is good.

Awesome pics PJAM, you realy captured the mess hall scene!

I think your Bishop bash is a work of genius too, he was such a cool and understated character in the movie. id really love to get Ripley, Vasquez and a custom Bishop then Id be happy lol

At the moment though Im planning a diorama for my two marines, since I wont be able to afford any more figures for a while :(

Im torn between a SL-3 (FACEBOX, your dio is looking awesome so far), corridor section or Operations section as the backdrop, though I'l probably go with the corridor so I can place the sentry guns in there :) As a fun little feature for my dio I have been making a video loop to run off a sony psp which I can set into the background wall as a monitor, not as a permanent fixture though obviouisly coz I still like playing on it alot lol. I'l have a static version to interchange as well.

I'd really like to see more pics of how you guys are displaying your figures :)

Thanks Stendec, yeah that Bishop head was done by the amazing callous, I think he is the Chief designer behind the new Triad bodies. It was a one time thing and I was very lucky to have him do it. The eyes are actually articulated as well... some find that creepy but I think it adds to the poseability options, expression wise and seems to be the way of the future...

I may be getting a grid base as well like Facebox's marine tank flooring, it's cheap and necessary for Warrior battles. Def let us know what you do! :D:cool:

Thanks Bro. :D Yeah, as mentioned earlier, somewhere, the table was only $22 @ War Toys, I think it was a In The Past Toys Map Table with chairs. I used Testors Chrome spray to give it that stainless steel look although the actual film prop table top was painted white. I bet Cameron (who is a stainless steel freak) originally had a stainless steel table but it was hard to film reflecting set lighting and all and was painted or replaced.

The table can also be used for other scenes; mapping the air duct systems with the gang, Sentry gun set ups, Bishop stuff (including his dissection of the facehugger) and all sorts of other stuff from not only this film but many others so it's a useful display prop...

I just spent an hour getting Vas and Drake ready for their "My B!tch" shot for DekDave and should have it up soon, tommorow...

and lemme tell ya it was a B!TCH! :lol:cool:

That's the worst part of photographing these things, sometimes you spend as much as an hour or more setting up a pose or something that will only buy you a few shots or so, and by the time you snap them it's like damn that was a lot for not much, but in the end it is fun and rewarding. I wonder if we're certifiable for putting ourselves through stuff like that over toys :)

Well, your stuff is genuine art MF so no, it's worth the trouble to get those amazing images. For hacks like me it's just painful and amatuerish but, if I can get a few cool shots so the brothers get a few kicks out of sharing the joy of this stuff it's worth the trouble for me. But I certainly don't have to...

I can look at these figs in person all day and get Collector "priapism".:lol

Why you gotta use big wors man, haha. Thanks for the compliments. As always, quite jealous of your custom collections of this and Terminator. There is a great joy when you look over and see your pieces out on display and light up at how cool the pieces are and enjoy that you have them, I still get goosebumps seeing my Jabba setup everytime I come back to my room, and hopefully when I get more room some day, Hicks will have a nice little scene with some alien friends.

Hey Maulfan, you need to snag Paul's shots and work them into some Wallpapers for us in the Alien wp thread! :D These are truly one of a kind!
Who else would get all this together!
(I still see them all playing cards with his HT ALIEN when it arrives... :lol )

He's got to invite your Alien though Les, sitting at the table, shades on, smokin' up, poker face on. What would be hillarious is if you could some how work an image to look like the warrior was calling Hudson out for cheating, with that "oh ****" look on the Hudson sculpt, that'd be funny to have him ****ting himself knowing what's coming :)

Maybe I can get a shot of my ALIEN in a tight shot so you can put it in with his figures! :lol No tables, but maybe just a silvered up surface will make it work. I even have a few 1/6 cards I think... Can you replace any background so they are the same generic ones?
That would be funny as hell! :rotfl
I'm in if Paul is! :D

I can't believe you guys are having your Warriors playing cards already. I haven't even got my shipping notice yet from Adam. :rotfl Sighs impatiently...

Seriously, you can do ANYTHING you want with any of my stuff as far as I'm concerned. Anytime. Anywhere.

Les, you guys haven't even seen the range of things I'm capable of with computer software. You get me some shots and if Paul could get some shots with a "seat" for the warrior, I can merge them, maybe even airbrush in some chips make it look like he's winning cuz who's gonna call an Alien warrior out on a bluff hahaha :)

Where are the figures, all I see are three screen grabs from the movie ;)

Seriously though, bad ass pics P.

I love the minute detail that went into the marines armor and Im loving the "My *****" tag on Drakes gun.

Vasquez arms look a million times better too, her stock arms are unbelievably skinny and this upgrade really enhances the figure.

"LETS ROCK!!"

Thanks Bros. :D Josh even painted the "Grrrrrrrrr" on Drake's handle. You can see it better in the second shot.

]I've received mine today. Great figure but like many I'm waiting to see how durable it is. The rubber pieces scare me a bit. Otherwise it's the closest thing you'll get to what you can see in the film.

Here is the little bugger
