The tail is the HT Aliens Warrior. You can see in some of the shots it extends from inside a concealed set backdrop. Btw, the Warrior tail doesn't separate from the body. Can we just call it Hollywood Magic!?

Hopefully some day soon you can make one with the HT Alien Queen and maybe an HT Bishop.

Absolutely. I hope HT makes a Bishop for all to enjoy. I feel sort of guilty plastering my Custom Bishop all over the place when a figure is not available for everyone to enjoy but this really is something special and I wanted to share and show off Callous' work.

They will make a Queen I'm sure but no one really knows if they'll make any more Aliens Figures or a Series 3 set. My Hope would be Gorman, Bishop and maybe a 2 pack, like Dietrich and Newt or something like that as Newt is such an essential part of the Film and they can do kid's bodies now.

Yes, it's been posted in the building your marines thread, but here it is in my custom thread. I'm making a "whole" Bishop now, though.

That great work, my man! Love it. Congrats! That is the best Split Custom Bishop I have ever seen. Really cool, dude. You may want to use a different jumpsuit for your full Bishop though. There are a few out there that lend themselves a bit more accurately, especially the collar area. There's a GS9 but it's too dark, and then there's the one I used, a BBI I think, but the collar is not accurate either, but it looks okay. Hopefully HT will make a Bishop and I can swap out jumpsuits.

But I don't think anyone can top Callous' work as far as likeness goes... for me it's the real hair he implanted stand by strand which really makes the biggest difference and he also made articulated eyes. In hand it's about the sickest piece of work I've ever seen. Callous is pretty much a genius IMO.

In hand this fig looks like a Live Film Still, it's pretty much insanely nuts.

Btw, I made his shoes using SSC Connor Nike's and customizing it from there, I guess sawed off HT Ripley Boots are the best resource out there but they are hard plastic, the Sideshow Connor Nike's have a real great feel to them.

I'm very impressed by those who go for total accuracy, but I'm satisfied getting the feeling of the character. So his guts, for example, are more of an interpretation of what might be inside this kind of android than a literal representation of what you saw on screen. (For one thing, he should have a spine in there, since you could see it briefly.) But I have a lot of figures that I'd like to make, and I'd rather do a lot of them than get one or two exactly right. But that's just me.

Yes, it's a OOAK Sculpt by Callous as mentioned... he's pretty well known in Hi End Custom Circles...

Well just went through the Aliens marthon of films 1-4 back to back.......the special editions, been awhile since I've seen them.

Just makes me yern for a 1/6 Queen even more.......if they can throw in a Ripley with the PL how about throwing in a split Bishop, now that would be cool

As far as the topic, I LOVE the idea of HOT TOYS simply making ALIEN(s) themed releases a regular part of their production - ESPECIALLY with their new(ish) Hot Toys Japan Co. Incorporated - re-releases, refreshes, new characters, and new variants would be AMAZING - I was starting to feel a little depressed that they might not give us another ALIENS series, but if they pull of ALIEN characters and an ALIEN 3 "Bull", I'll be more than happy. If they give us Bishop and Newt along w/ the Queen, I'll be ecstatic - we also need a CHESTBURSTER!!! WHERE's MY CREEPY 1/6 CHESTBURSTER?!??! I think having a small army of those would be SO amazingly creepy... they need an ALIEN accessories pack! Huggers, Burster, maybe even some base decorations (tubings, acid burned grates, battle-damaged marine armor... IF HOT TOYS IS READING THIS STUFF, WE WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT YOUR ALIEN PRODUCTS FOR YEARS TO COME IF YOU CONTINUE TO PROVIDE US OUR QUALITY ICONS!!!!

Almost every figure we've got could be released in a battle-damaged version... Vasquez, Hicks, Drake... there are so many possibilities, we all know that HOT TOYS is up for the challenge. The fact that they themselves are ALIEN(s) enthusiasts doesn't hurt (not to mention that JAPAN is FULL of die-hard fans...). The future looks pretty good from here...

Are Hot Toys figures limited editions in any meaningful way? We know they have released alternate versions of lots of figures. Is there any chance of them re-releasing the Aliens figures they've already done? There's clearly a fair amount of demand, at least for someone like Hicks.

I love the idea of the accessory packs. We definitely need well done eggs, chestbursters, facehuggers, and the like.

I wouldnt imagine they would re release the figures. I would say they would like them to keep the high status they have of being rare

Well, let me say that if they announce another series at Comic-con w/ Newt, the Queen, Bishop... I'll be flabbergasted. It will be one of the greatest moments of my life!! I was also just thinking the other night about how no one has done the Drone from the movie where it doesn't have those arm-fins on it (I believe that's possibly the only version w/ the "Mantis-hands" anyway, though I've actually done SO much research that I get them all mixed up now anyway - heck, I've even given the notorious facehuggers that attacked Newt and Rips names - Billy and Ted... Ted's the one that almost gets Ripley ). But, as I was saying, w/ some of those suit variations I would definitely get another model (but only if we're getting the Big Chap and the Queen as well). It would actually make a lot of sense for them to use parts from Giger's Alien to re-make a Drone.

I think I should appologise for mentioning these STUPID drones in every damn post rolleyes - I'm just drooling over the next ALIEN announcements from them (also, I suppose the more I post something the better chance those dudes at Hot Toys see it).
Someone already mentioned the children's bodies they've come up w/, so I could easily see Newt either coming w/ Bishop or the Queen.
Oh, and I definitely won't be satisfied if we get the Queen, Big Chap-dude, and even a Giger-esque Facehugger (the others have been TOO spiney and fat...) and NOT a chestburster. W/ 1:6 clothing, it would be SO easy to have one coming out of any characters chest (Luke: "I sense something... Han, what did you eat yesterday?" Solo: " Jedi... it's just heartburn... I hope....")

I agree with you Zabrak Nut. I would also love to see Hot Toys make a Bishop, Newt, and of course the BIG alien queen! I've already made my own 1/6 scale custom figures of Bishop and Newt, and I'm very happy with them. So if Hot Toys never makes them, I have the ones I've done.

As far as accessories like alien eggs (with a light up feature, would be great!), facehuggers, chestbursters, the alien tubing all slimy looking, "battle-damaged" USCM armor, etc. Wow, the list could go on and on! So yeah, I hope that Hot Toys does take a look at this message board and take to heart what us fans of ALIENS really want to see in future releases.

As for me I'll keep working on eventually making the remaining marines. I'm almost done with Cpl. Dietrich, then next up is Pvt. Frost, then Pvt. Wierzbowski, Cpl. Ferro, Pvt. Crowe. Someday I may even make Lt. Gorman, and the "slimeball company man" Carter Burke.

By the way...is Hot Toys expected to make a NEW annoucement about more ALIEN figures at this year's Comic Con? Anyone know. I haven't heard anything about it yet.

I'd also love to see at least one more wave of three human characters from the Aliens license, but if they do announce anything new in this line this year, it'll most likely be Her Majesty! All those Power Loader's are gettin' mighty lonely without the Big Mama to 'rassle!
