Yeah, I agree with you. Even if we get only one BIG announcement from Hot Toys this year I hope that it is the alien queen! It only stands to reason that they would have it in their plans to eventually make her to "square off" against Ripley in the power loader! At least that's what I'm hoping for.... :D

Got a graphic I'm working on that I'm excited about so I decied to share a little tease to test the waters.

This is a little off topic, but I was disgusted with the new design of the aliens lips/mouth in AVP-R.

I'm starting to make my peace with the fact that the Alien warrior is just a creature now, since A:R, it's jsut become more and more an animal than what it was in A1-3.

Yeah,it's not an alien unless they have that classic machined mouth and drool.I didn't see a drop of drool on the aliens in AVP-R.

I'm going to Japan on Monday so I was looking to see what collectibles I might be able to get there when I stumbled on these. They're replicas of Ripley's shoes. Has anyone seen them before? They go for around $175. I'm not interested in buying them, but they are kind of cool.

Those are cool, they look like Bishop's shoes though, Ripley wore the lucky hi-tops... they rode up higher...

These are Bishop's shoes from the Film Archives

Well, I've seen them pop up in searches I've run on ebay from time to time, hunting for Aliens stuff. I read somewhere that Reebok released them around the time of Aliens, maybe it was in the film archives pjam mentioned. Anyway, it looks like they're still in production, but I've never seen them in stores. Are they for sale somewhere in Japan?

I found the picture on a Japanese yahoo shopping site, but I can't seem to find it again. I also found that there are a number of other versions of these shoes in different colors, but these are the closest to the film. Of course the film shoes actually just had "Reebok" on them, while these have "Weyland-Yutani" on them.

Now I remember where I saw 'em. It was the same site (not ebay), while I was hunting for a 1/1 Aliens bust for Reinhardt last year. You might have to sift through some pages, but if you run a search for "Alien" they'll probably pop up again. The Weyland-Yutani logo is pretty cool. Probably wouldn't be too hard to convert a pair into Bishop's shoes with a little customizing, though.

Finally finished. I was thinking about a Giger inspired wallpaper I made with the HT figure and I got to thinking about how cool a theatrical poster would be to have promoted Giger's style and work and focus on the xenomorph rather than Ripley.

awesome stuff Sean!!!!

what did you do to get the text to look like that??

I have the Aliens font on my computer, I typed it out and sized it how I wanted than I took part of the HT figure and kept copying and pasting and blending the pieces together over the text to get the same shape.
