A couple of weeks ago, I finally was able to grab my 'grail', the new 75192 UCS Falcon. Couldn't wait to start putting it together but once I was in, I truly had no idea how deep this rabbit hole goes. Seventeen 'stages' soon became a one-a-night affair because my brain (and fingertips) wanted to explode every time a new stage was complete.

In the end, it was worth it, though. ;)

One night? Sweet jebus dude. Took me about 5 days/shifts (between work and comic making work). I also bootlegged and had a missing bag, so that added time...

Not one day. One stage a day. Bag sets '1' and '2' were one day, as were '13' and 14'.

Each stage took from 2-3 hours.

Not bad! Disappointed in the lack of articulation, but the size and presence in Voltron mode makes up for it. I think I might keep them separate in lion modes though!

I wanna get Ninjago city, but I'm waiting until I can get double VIP points.
Ninjago City is, imo, the greatest Lego set ever made. It's a super fun build, has tons of play elements, and just looks great. I'm not sure that even the UCS Falcon could be better. I'm really looking forward to seeing the Ninjago City Docks.

I definitely feel like it's worthy of the title. I don't have a lot of attachment to Ninjago, but I LOVE the set designs and sort of futuristic-traditional Asian architecture. Ninjago city definitely pulls a bunch of cyberpunk style too which is really awesome to me.

Speaking of that, cyberpunk...that's a theme Lego's never touched really. They've had stuff that dances around it, but never in it. Robots, neon lights, sci-fi...I think they could offer a wild range of awesome sets with a theme centered around that style.

I'll probably get cloud city but I have to admit I am disappointed with both the price and the look of it. A fun set for kids to play with but not a great looking display piece.

The cloud car and the minifigs are great, and I kind of dig the mini-Slave 1, but I don't know if I $350 dig the set. Kind of meh right now, but I'm sure I'll end up loving it.

350 way too much for me to bite but might bricklink the slave one to put next to mu UCS slave 1

Not really liking the look of that Cloud City set myself. The overall set just doesnt remind me of Cloud City. I wish they had just done an external model like they did on the previous UCS Death Star (not the recent UCS playset). I prefer those as display pieces showcasing the classic and recognisable shapes of the structures.

Here's my look at the recent Lego Ideas Voltron set. A little disappointed with the lack of articulation, but still great for fans of the 80s cartoon!
