Warbotron's Computron looks nice, but a bit too classics-ish for my taste.

As for Kronos, I think I made the right decision in passing. It looks... Okay at best. If that sounds "passive aggressive" oh well. Frankly I get annoyed at the constant gushing from the "true believers". I'm glad people like it but it seems like any negative reaction is met with a... Well, frankly strange, ultra defensive reaction/outburst. Not here, mind you, but on TFW, the third party forum is just nuts. And Arafat's posts feed right into it as well, which further puts me off.

Agreed just a bit too classics style for my taste but it does look amazing.

I wasn't trying to start "a thing" with my comment. I like reading honest opinions. And of course it can go too far both ways. My own opinion on Kronos is that he looks a bit simplistic but nevertheless a nice effort. My decisions are made easier by my budget - don't love it, don't buy it. :) So I won't be picking him up but I look forward to reviews.

I am very tempted by these Warbotron figures. I am a G -1er at heart but I also like a lot of third party interpretations.

It's all good. That's basically how I feel as well.

I guess he's a partsformer as well - you have to take off his back to transform him. Frankly I'm not bothered by partsforming when that's how the original toy was, too. Was G1 Jetfire like that?

As far as the red armour parts and main boosters, pretty much.

The delays of Kronos isn't helping things.....I want to see a REAL review of this thing.I hear it's Huge, looks great in Robot mode and looks cartoon G1 accurate

Parts-forming though? I wasn't expecting that.I guess it's not a bad thing since the original did too......BUT,I will be looking at Fans Toys version and see what they do with theirs :gah:

That combiner looks sick. :yess:
I don't care about partsforming, it's not like I sit around transforming anything just for fun. It is what it is. If I feel like tinkering, I break out some unfinished Lego projects. :lol

Huh, well I guess that's okay.

I really do think the FansToys one will be worth the wait though, at this point. I suspected that was going to be the case from the start, though...

I thought Gen 1 Jetfire could be transformed with the boosters etc all attached?

I never actually had him though, so perhaps I'm remembering wrong :dunno

The red boosters on his back you'd have to take off if you want to fold down his back to display his rear spoilers for normal jet mode. You also have to take off the arm guards below the forearm to fold the arms in for alt mode from what I remember. It was really easy to lose those armour bits along with the gun clip. Much like Omega Supreme's little yellow clips.

It is cool that they included the moon boots for MP Grimlock in the meantime. I was never bothered by the height thing, I'm not that picky with TF scale, but bigger is definitely better in this case.

Scoria is looking awesome...makes it more annoying that I can't afford him (or possibly any of the FT Dinobots)

I love this picture though...

Yeah, looks great. FansToys has really captured the MP aesthetic well. I think, in a nutshell, that's the main problem with Kronos, though it's a very nice looking attempt. I'm certain that achieving that Masterpiece balance between cartoon accuracy, "real world" detailing, etc. is more easily said than done, after all...
