Mp Ultra Magnus arrived and he is kick ***. One of the first Takara MP's I thought was worth the coin. Funny that most pics I've seen of him make him look chunky but he is a lot leaner in hand. He adds another dynamic to the existing MPs,good stuff. I'm in for G2 Bee and the Takara MP10 reissue. Anyone looking for Hasbro MP Optimus or Thundercracker pm me.

Why would u get rid of hasbro mp 10 for Takara? Do you plan on customizing him? Always hated the dead eyes on the Takara, plus I dig the brighter colors.

Glad to hear Mp Ultra Mag is not that chunky it might appears to be. Though I pre-ordered mine anyways. Just haven't got it yet. But I got my mp Bumble. That is really nice too and really easy to transform. Not too complicated and yet really nice figure.

Now is that Megatron the same CHUG-Megatron (or whatever idw-megatron that is), we saw some time earlier? That looks a bit different, but that might be because of the "photoshopped" images.

Because I have two of him,Id rather have one Hasbro and one Takara Prime. I do plan on painting Takara Primes' eyes. I also dig Hasbros coloring however I have never seen Takaras version in hand so Ive been wanting to get him to compare. Once in hand Ill have to decide which will be in bot mode and which will be in alt mode. Ive also got black Prime and have got KO white MP10 on preorder,Im going Prime crazy I tell ya.

I prefer the darker colors of the Takara version, it makes him look more "real" and less like a toy. In a way, its more cartoon accurate since the lights above the cab windows aren't painted yellow. Yea, the darker eyes make the figure look dead so I painted them Tamiya Sky Blue, its the perfect shade of light blue for the eyes.

It's the same mold, just with a Takara paintjob.

The Reflector and Perceptor unlicensed figures are up for order on BBTS. Perceptor is only $110 if you pre-order now. Seems like a really good price as far as these things go. Reflector is $145 for the 3.

Wow, those look spectacular! Preordered (chimungmung).

Now, if only Takara would announce MP Megatron V2...

Oh, finally got my MP Magnus, too. I'm impressed. Not perfect, but still pretty awesome.

Early bird prices for the two FT bots on Transbridge.omegalock.co.uk are,

£74.99 ( Perceptor ) Current release date is April
£94.99 ( Reflector ) Current release date is September

Badcube have released pics of the first test shot for Warpath and it's looking really good.

This a new MP style Warpath? Got pics?

I hope so. I'm also glad that other people dig MP22, including yourself. It just doesn't do it for me and it's so disappointing because I wanted that run of home runs to keep going even though Magnus was a character I had little nostalgia for.

Time to let your one man crusade against Ultra Magnus go mate. It's a beautiful piece and worthy addition to the MP line. You don't like it which is fine; I get it, but the majority of us do like it!
Mine is on its way and can't wait :)

Badcube's Warpath pic from FB this morning.

I love Huff and Brawny and this one looks fantastic too! I can't wait to see what they do for Gears and Windcharger.

Got to get my PO in for FT's Perceptor and Reflector. They look brilliant too.

Megatron, Soundwave (w/ ravage, rumble and laserbeak), Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker (not to mention the other violet colored seekers)
, Reflectors are the first Decepticons that crash landed on earth and revived by Teletran-1 in the old cartoons

Takara only needs to do MP-Reflectors (and issue a Thundercracker) then they are done (Shockwave is in Cybertron) coz Fantoyz already beat
them to it .

nice Perceptor and Reflectors.....

the Autobots well, still needs MP Ironhide, Hound, Trailbreaker, Cliff jumper, Mirage, Sunstreaker , Jazz and Ratchet
among other autobots that could round off the ones in the Arc

It feels like, to me anyway, that 3rd party is winning out over MP style figures. I find them to be a lot more sturdy and less fragile and in some cases more detailed. The MP line really needs to get more villains going. I always guessed that they were releasing figures based on original catalog scans, but UM came out in 86. So bring on more Cons, huh? :)

It's funny how the 3rd party companies respond to Takara. Back in the day, the old MP figures were like nothing else we had seen, and they really were a game changer. Then the classics type figures came along, and did more of the same, albeit with a lesser level of sophistication and adherence to the source. Then, the 3rd party companies come along, trying to piggyback on the success Takara/Hasbro had at capitalizing on collector nostalgia. Eventually, they started pumping out products that were more interesting or just better than what Hastak were doing. Takara changed the game again with MP-10 and MP-11, and left most of the 3rd party guys in the dust. But now, the 3rd party guys are starting to really respond in kind. I don't know if I would say that they are beating Takara in my mind, but certainly putting out products that rival what is officially coming out, and nicely complements them. It's a good time to be a Transformers collector. I wonder if we'll have another sea change at some point down the road, where the current batch of MP figures look quaint by comparison. Seems unlikely, but I wouldn't write off the possibility that these guys will keep pushing it until we see another level of quality, adherence to the source, and sophistication.

do you think that tank megatron is legit?? if so when do you guys think it'll be released bc i actually like him more as a tank than gun tbh:lol
