Given that megatron is set up to let you decide what faction he is AFTEr you buy him ( still just stickers, but it shows they're trying to cater to everyone), I'm thinking it'll likely be normal devy, and we will see a Prowl as a standalone later on, OR have him included.

even then, he dosn't look THAT different.

I was just thinking that if DPrime has his Herc displayed with MP Decepticons it might not be the best option to swap it for something that will possibly deviate from the original G1 configuration.

I also think the only way that the upcoming Hasbro effort will better TFC's is the height.

Lol, I guess I had some catching up to do. I'm in my apartment now through 2017, and I doubt I'll be in a place big enough where displaying multiple statues is viable, but I do have room for multiple Detolfs so why not tailor my collection to my space? TF will always be my first toy love and I have fond (and some of my earliest) memories of G1 toys, so a Masterpiece style 1986 and before collection sounds perfect .

Luckily, catching up wasn't TOO expensive - I also pre-ordered Apollyon, MP-10, Sever (FT Snarl), and the FT Perceptor and Reflector...gulp. Maybe this is getting pricier then I planned .

Dinobots should be bigger. They always towered Prime in robot mode (as in, Prime looked SHORT) they were the Autobots greatest chance against the likes of Devastator.

As great as FT figures are, they really screwed up on these guys's scales IMO.

I love what they did with Shockwave, but nevertheless, this is a deal breaker to me.

I hope GIGA knocks it out of the park, I really do.

For every shot of a character looking a certain size in the cartoon there's inevitably just as many of the exact same character looking a different size, even the Holy Scale Chart wasn't adhered to that rigidly, the animators clearly just drew whatever they felt like on a given day.

There are also plenty of examples in movies and TV of things being deliberately made to be different sizes in different scenes for dramatic effect, a good example would be Iron Monger in the first Iron Man movie.

I think FT's are big enough, I don't own MP10 so it's not like I care about how anything scales with it and even if that weren't the case it's not like I'd be displaying them together as my Dinobots are displayed on their own shelf.

With Giga Power's direction we're getting into MP01 and MP05 territory where the size starts to work against them as they become a bit clunky and unwieldy to handle....I'm guessing that's one reason why Guttur has such a simplistic design compared to Sever.

Just recieved MP11-SW. It's nice enough, no paint issues, the joints are all good and for a Kobayashi design it's got few issues....the foot articulation being worse than the earlier Seeker mold is the only one that stands out.

I've received my MP-11SW too. It does have it's flaws but i much prefer Kobayashi's version to the old MP-3 version that Kawamori ruined. I'm not overly keen on the silver arm stripes and purple nipple rings but I think they could easily be removed on the arms and overpainted on the chest so no big deal at the moment. The unpainted grey plastic codpiece is also more noticeable in hand compared with the silver hips. I still think Takara will do their own domestic Japanese version at some point with a more toon accurate head without the prominent Starscream chin, but this one fits in fine for now.

A new face sculpt would have been nice and if I was to be extra picky I would also have liked it if the shoulder joints and the flip joint on the forearm had been purple instead of black so that they matched with the other shoulder/forearm parts but it'll do.

Takara release of MP11 Thundercracker
( The gits will probably make this an Exclusive so I have to overpay again but I couldn't miss completing the trio. )

Beyond that I could possibly be intrested in,

Insecticons
( Shrapnel, Bombshell and Kickback only. )

Constructicons/Devastator
( Takara could pull it off if they brought Hasui back from his exile on Bayformers. He's often spoken of his fondness for Bruticus so he's probably already looked at some ideas for how to make combiners at that scale doable. The real question is whether Takara's money men will ever consider it a viable option. )

Astrotrain
( The only Decepticon Triple Changer that I'm convinced can work. Blitzwing has too much kibble to hide and nobody cares about Octane. )

The Rumor is Takara is not releasing a G1 Megatron anytime soon...it's going to be Galvatron and or a stupid Tank version....I would jump on Appolyon just in case

Just got Transister/Blaster today. Superb quality and in many ways far better quality that what Takara do; particularly with the paint apps

Just got mp11 starscream and mp grimlock and i was wondering what everyone thought about either of the figures? I think they look great imo but not sure what the general consensus is on the two figures since i'm new to this line lol so what're your guys thoughts on them???
