Transformers, due to budget, falls the way of Aliens, Predator and the likes where your primary character can't carry a story, just give you some interesting visuals, and there will always be a need for a human element. Compared to other movies falling into this type of movie category, I thought the human aspect was more compelling than the humans in either AVP film, not the greatest thing but it was entertaining and I actually took a liking to some human characters in TF, I didn't in AVP movies.
