Until we hear otherwise from FT there's no reason to assume anything is legit.

dalianj has been active at TFW as recently as today so he's bound to comment on the situation sooner or later.

In any case, it's just a drawing at this stage, it's nowhere near production so there's ample time to change it to something that actually looks like a FT design.

Unlike Hasbro and Takara they tend to listen to their customers, they don't bury their heads in the sand and pretend they don't exist :lol

either way,Fan Toys has already said they are making Grimlock and I'm buying it

The picture proves that Sever was drawn the same (style) way so it could be a leak drawing of Grinder

Fair enough, I'm keeping my options open for now, I won't rule out getting it but if the oversized KO of MP08 looks OK in both modes with the other FT Dinobots that may be an alternative.

I wonder if Takara actually realizes how BAD fans want MP dinobots....

Can't those guys work in more than two MP projects a year? Can it be that hard?

You look at a company like Hot Toys, and what do you get? 40-50 releases a year?

Takara is just letting the competition eat away their market share. If I were them, I would get off my butt. For this year I can only think of Starsaber and Tracks (not counting repaints) and no others in sight. I was a Takara only collector until I got tired with the waiting game. Since the 3rd parties were making quality Transformers and coming out with much more than Takara, I had to take the plunge. I'm very happy with Badcube's Brawny, Backland, and Wardog, Xtransbots Apollyon, KFC's Transistor, and Gigapower's Gutter. Come on Takara prove me wrong - give us more Transformers. No more repaints or reissues.

Masterpiece Soundwave

Old hat to most of you guys, but I got my hands on a Masterpiece Soundwave this week and thought I'd share some pics I took. Fun figure! Strikes a nice balance between complex enough but no so much as to make it unenjoyable, Laserbeak is really impressive, and the chrome accents and translucent plastics are very nice. However, I'm not terribly impressed with Takara Tomy's craftmanship; there are a lot of blemishes in the plastic, sloppy brush strokes in places they don't belong, and overall just not what I would expect from a $179 collectible. It's a shame they don't take better care in materials and assembly, and cap those screw holes somehow while they're at it.

Very excellent Soundwave pics! I immediately transformed Laserbeak and never went back (he's actually one of my favorite MP figures in himself!), but Soundwave looks even cooler with Laserbeak in his chest.

as a kid I have always loved the character. he was so cool I think that`s what drawn me in to collecting some of these master pieces. haven`t collected transformers in years as I have collecting mostly star wars 1/6. might change it up a little

Although I think Takara's Roddy looks way better than this, I'm impressed by how amazingly built this guy looks! And the fact that the whole freaking cab is NOT a separate piece is truly unbelievable.

My second run Roddy feels great and better than V1, but nowhere near like, say, MP 10 as far as quality and craftsmanship.

Interested in this if reviews convince me...

Wow from the waste up this looks horrible; and to think I've po'd this guy. I presume the paint apps haven't been finished here but those wings looks cheap and nasty

Yeah look at his feet, unpainted diecast. It's only been molded in color, no paint at all yet.

First thing this aesthetics brings to mind for me is 2006's Classics Rodimus. Not a great look for what I assume will be a $100+ figure, as all 3rd party figures are.

Another day, another set of Combiner Wars Devastator photos. These ones located on ACToys by Ashstar of TFW2005:

I'll take the bigger, greener one for $150, Alex.

where is he at for 150.00. I will take this version compared to the over rated 400+ version
All of your typical retail stores who carry Transformers should have him late summer for $149.99, as that is the retail price in the U.S. From the horse's mouth:

TRANSFORMERS GENERATIONS COMBINER WARS CONSTRUCTICON DEVASTATOR
(Ages 8 & up/Approx. Retail Price: $149.99/Available: Fall 2015)
