Fan Toys is wiping the floor against Takara.....Takara sits silent while Fan Toys pumps out Dinobots,Insecticons,Perceptor etc and now Hound...

Have yet to be disappointed in Fans Toys yet and they ARE really making great G1 Masterpieces

Cheers for posting the pics Corsair. I really like how cartoon accurate it is in bot mode, right down to the feet. Really looking forward to seeing it painted up!

just got my quake wave yesterday wow is he ever awesome and heavy. I did some custom work on his arm by drilling the whole underneath his arm behind the switch. then put the electronics back to gather and closed the arm up. I have to get batteries to put in the arm hoping everything works. take pics later of him now he is shockwave.View attachment 191133View attachment 191134

No problem, glad everyone else is digging it, I'm a bit disappointed in FT for doing a carbot but they've pulled it off with their usual style, none of the official carbots have diecast or rubber tyres.

FT have hinted before that they have very good sources of information....they knew about Leader Class Jetfire 18 months before it was revealed so with this announcement I have to wonder what they have been told about the chances of an official Hound.

I just ordered him on BBTS. $90 ain't bad at all for a nice looking MP type figure like this. And Hound is one of my top two favorite Autobots, along with Prowl. This is actually a really exciting reveal. I think my own initial excitement is tempered a bit by the fact that we had two other 3rd party Hounds shown a short while back, but this is likely going to be way better than either.

It's really a no-brainer for me (no offense to those that think otherwise)

Maketoys hurt themselves by not moving more quickly with that Hound. If it had been released by now, I would have bought it. But now, I'm mostly likely just going with the FT version. TFC's never really appealed to me.

Add me to the PO bandwagon. Hound looks incredible.

Although I still think this is a character even as popular as Jazz, that might just jot be all that far behind in TT future plans. If they show something before this gets released, great. Otherwise I'll keep this.

I like it but frankly I'm a bit surprised they're moving into "Takara territory" with a carbot. Hopefully he gets a nice painted finish.

If anything, though, this makes me even more certain that they'll have a go at Megatron down the line. :) And I've got zero concerns that we will have a truly complete "masterpiece" lineup of the 84-85 characters.

I don't worry about what-it's. I still remember people on TF forums with inside scoop's about how MP Shockwave was about to be announced after FT Quakewave:lol

Worst case scenario, there's never any guarantee official ones will be "better". I just don't see how Tak can improve on some of FT's releases, especially this one. It's just so perfect and I'm not even that big of a Hound fan.

Fans Toys still has to get the colors and materials right for it to fit in with a legitimate Masterpiece collection. I've been less than impressed with them in that regard in the past, but the new in-color images of their Bombshell figure seems to indicate they're improving.
