Have you seen the pictures of the new Prime 1 studio statue of shockwave DOTM??!!! Only saw a couple pictures online and probably won't come out until 2017..I'll be all over it for sure.

This statue looks huge and insanely detailed to the hilt... Prime 1 continues to hit grand slams!!!!....Please bring on Grimlock (G1) and the combiners!!!!! DEVASTATOR AND Bruticus!!

in case others have never ordered overseas here is the breakdown that pertains to Mastetpiece Transformers.

Anime export gives you 30% off retail and HLJ gives you 20% off retail price.

Anime export require pre pay and HLJ doesn't require pre pay.

Anime export has a short pre order window about 20 Days then they mark figure as sold out. HLJ keeps pre order open until release most of the time.

I like both companies but like to save the most so I order from anime export and don't mind pre paying to save an extra 10% along with the strong dollar to Yen.

As for shipping :
anime express has a 60 day "pile of loot" option but can go past 60 days in most cases.

HLJ has a strict 60 day "pile of loot" or Private Warehouse option.

To ship one Masterpiece car EMS (express) 3-5 day ship costs 12-14 USD for both companies on average.

We are getting between 1-2 Masterpieces per month. So if you pick one company to pre order from you should be able to catch 2 Mastetpiece figures in a 60 day pile of loot cycle. To ship 2 Mastepiece cars it costs me 16.00. So just 2.00 more.

My personal experience over the years both companies have nice shipping boxes. HLJ has thier own branded boxes . Both companies shrink wrap the figure to cardboard backing then places in box with an air bubble. The figure doesn't move because of this practice.

Anime export doesn't seem to have an English speaking staff so they may not reply to your email if you need help with your order.

HLJ is very responsive to emails. If you have a problem with your figure they will first offer you a small store credit , if that is not acceptable then they will process an RMA. I have never shipped anything back to them so don't know if you pay return shipping.

Well I'm done typing now. I have been happy with both companies. Hope this helps people save money on Masterpiece Transformers.

I think what makes Ratchet and Ironhide look off is because of the tiny head and the long torso. If only TK adjusts the head a little larger and the torso a little shorter or lower, it'll look perfect to me.

Has Takara adjusted any previous MP's after showing the proto pics on the final release?

I'm really tempted to cancel my pre-orders on these but didn't due to because of my need to fill Ironhide/Ratchet voids in my collection. I feel the head sculpt is so off. Takara please fix it - listen to your audience.

They look about ready to be shipped IMO, I doubt many changes (if at all) will take place.

There's newer pus over at TFW2005 that shows Ratchet without the symbols on the shoulders, so probably that's optional?

HS looks fine to me.

Yea I saw those pics of Ratchet too and I really do prefer him with plain white shoulders to the cross and insignia. I hope it is an option and not just a prototype that they forgot to put the symbols on.

Would be nice if the Autobot symbols aren't attached out of the box, and are included as stickers. That could be a way to bypass the trademark infringement issue.

In general they all work out to within a few dollars of each other due to shipping costs. AE tends to show the lowest price but their shipping costs are higher than AmiAmi/HLJ and NY....

AmiAmi also usually offer 30% off but again, with shipping they all come down to immaterial differences in overall prices...

HLJ and AmiAmi allow you to preorder without paying, whereas with AE you have to pay up front. And from what others have written, sometimes HLJ and AmiAmi end up with less orders than the preorders they have fulfilled...

So I took some time at lunch time today to transform Tracks (Will get some pics up later) & I will say...I'm pretty underwhelmed by him.
He has a HUGE gap round the back which looks awful when viewed from the side & the way his arms are positioned with his wings means that it's almost impossible to get poses out of him without having to move the wings...they pretty much touch so anything other than a museum style pose makes for really odd looking wings & it's just a bit of a mess.

I'm actually really let down by him now, not what I was hoping for at all

I was never blown away by Tracks right from the first prototype images.

One thing I particularly dislike is the clear plastic on the windows as it makes the robot head stick out a lot more than it should in car mode....all the other carbots had darker tinted windows which helped hide robot parts.

I get that it was done so Blaster is visible through the windows but that feature is a lame gimmick that I would never bother with, I'd have much preferred the tinted windows as it would have been consistent with what went before.

Mine has now shipped from TFS Express but with MMC Mirage imminent and Badcube Sunstreaker only weeks away my enthusiasm isn't great, I'm not even sure I'll keep it, let alone buy a second to keep in alt mode.
