Together with the other Autobots, he looks great. I still the think the transformations of the Lambor, Nissan, and Lancia are a better design, with things that just plug in place better.

I also adjusted the shin panels slightly so that he doesnt have that bow-legged look. Now just looking forward to Ironhide and Ratchet to join the core Autobot cast! :)

honestly to me he feels way more solid than any of my MP10s. he's heavy and there's some heft to it. the joints everywhere are really tight. nothing feels loose or wobbly. extremely well built! think there's some diecast in the legs, not sure in the internals, but the chest piece is diecast too... which makes for a nice tight fit w/ no gap. overall i'm really shocked at this thing. wasn't expecting this quality...

Very nice , thanks for the report.

Got my Tracks this morning, had a quick look to check everything was OK and put it back in the box. The figure has a nice paintjob but otherwise does nothing for me so I'll be reselling.

Impulse buys rarely work out well but it's a mistake that's easily rectified.

Onwards and upwards,
Kapow have said their stock of MMC Mirage will be arriving Monday. I've just got the one ordered as they sold out of their allocation but I'll be getting another when the pre-order for the second run without the parachute goes up.

TFW board member Sixo has said he'll be recieving a production sample of Badcube Sunstreaker for review in the next fortnight so it's looking like it could make it to retailers in time for Christmas :yess:

Well... ordered Sphinx. Seems to be getting rave reviews from everyone, so what the hell. And I guess I get that parachute. :)

Probably means I'll be waiting a bit longer to make the decision on Andras. Trying to pace myself, here, after all. But I do need to get around to paying for shipping for Tracks, I suppose...

He's sitting in my Pile of Loot. I didn't know he came with a parachute. I might go ahead and ship this guy.

The parachute comes in it's own box and you also get a couple of extra facesculpts. This is only available with the first run.

That's awesome. I saw those pics, but thought the parachute might have been a custom.

Just saw some shots of Maketoys Gundog on TFW. Man, he looks pretty damn great. I might have to pick those guys up.

I dont agree with photos that are touched up, makes the paint pop more than it would normally be. Aside from paint, I feel the sculpting looks great. Thanks for posting

I didn't know he was touching up the pics, but even so, that design looks like a winner to me. Of course, we'll see how he looks when more collectors get him in-hand. Hound, along with Prowl, is one of my favorite Autobots, so I'm glad to see him getting some attention finally. And of course, I still hope Takara does one!

Its really about lighting and filters to make a figures colors pop. Anyway yes I agree he looks amazing. I'm trying to hold myself back on 3P at this point, Each 3P release makes me want to dive in and have some fun. On the other hand Takara is really showing off MP figures quickly now. Actual Releases are still spread out, but they seem to be providing us with more info than ever before. I think 3P is starting to hurt them because of the quality especially FansToys products.

Dammit!!!!

Never realised this :(

I had been holding off on Sphinx, hoping someone would grab him for me for Christmas but from speaking to my bro the other night sounds like that's not happened & now I'm going to miss out since Kapow have sold out & TFS aren't stocking him.

I looked at TFSource & he's at least £10 dearer without the possibility of getting Customs as well.

Really annoyed about this now :(

The parachute is apparently identical to the one he used in the cartoon episode "More Than Meets The Eye".

A few aesthetic issues aside I think Gundog looks nice, but I'm waiting for this,

I don't see how anyone can make a better MP Hound in that scale, particularly with FT's track record for build quality.

Takara might get there aesthetically if they bring Hasui back to lead the design team but plastic tyres and no diecast would to me feel like a step backwards now that FT, MMC and a couple others are all taking that step to raise the bar.

I think of all the 3rd party Hound figures FT's looks the best and most cartoon accurate, but I wish they'd show a coloured version. I haven't pre-ordered it yet because of that. I don't care about rubber tyres or diecast, in fact I prefer the route Takara have taken, but the one thing I really am not a fan of is chrome. I think it can make an otherwise great figure look cheap and tacky. I was really glad FT gave an option on painted wings with Soar and I thought they looked so much better once swapped. I don't mind a little chrome here and there but less is definitely more in my view.

Yeah, I agree that FT's looks better, and having recently picked up two FT figures, I know they are also going to be giving you a quality toy. But Maketoys still looks really, really good. Plus, FT is probably doing the cartoon coloring scheme, so Maketoys could make for a nice alternative with the toy accurate scheme.

And I'm with scruff on the chrome issue. It has a cheapness to it. I would prefer painted silver like we've seen with several MP figures.

FT's production schedule got pushed back when they decided to reissue Quakewave. The FT guy who posts at TFW (dalianj) said the next figures scheduled with the factory after that are Shrapnel and Sludge so Kickback & Hound will probably follow those.

I'm not worried about the colors, they'll likely do 2 versions ( toy and cartoon ) like they did with Bombshell and I'll go with the toy accurate darker green. If by some chance they don't do 2 versions then I'll still get whichever they choose from.

It's not for everyone which is cool but for me chrome, rubber tyres and diecast are all nods to the original toys which increases the nostalgic appeal.

I also think there's something that feels very right about a toy robot that feels so solid and that has some weight to it especially having to pay today's prices.....£130 for figures like the FT Dinobots feels much better value for money than £160 for MP Soundwave or £140 apiece for the Asia Exclusive Seekers.

Here's my review of the new Transformers Masterpiece MP-25 Tracks. A beautiful alt mode, but the transformation is a little fiddly, with a transformation sequence and bot mode that isn't as elegant as the previous Lambor, Nissan, and Lancia designs.

But still, a new MP mold is always a great thing, so definitely happy to have him in the collection! Hope you can check out the review :)

I just realised I missed a part of the transformation when doing his lower legs. Apparently there is a piece near the ankle that you're meant to rotate down to cover the gap near his foot.

It was frickin hard to rotate the first time, but now able to move it better. Now at least I have it transformed correctly lol :)

All things transformers!!!!

I might have gotten the wrong version of Tracks, I suppose. Mine is amazing in bot mode, articulation isn't a problem, the transformation was easy, intuitive and fun.

And much like all of my other TF's, I really never display them from the side or back, so the "hollowness" some say this toy has (I don't see the problem with it, it looks fine) is not an issue to me. And it's a crime not to display this guy in alt mode, as this is the best there is IMO.

Can't wait for my second one.

The alt mode is growing on me after playing around with it and fixing up the ankle transformation. I still think the others look and feel better in bot mode though. But with a gorgeous alt mode, it's another welcome addition to the MP line :)

I brought these home from my parents house yesterday, where they had been in storage for the past nine years. I also have the Optimus, Megatron, and Shockwave Palisades statues in my basement. Need to dig those out.
