My main problem with the TRU G1 reissues (and why I sold them all) is that the feel of an all plastic TF was disappointing after all the die-cast reissues. So how does the plastic on these match up?

I admit that some of my recent re-issue purchases like Galvatron and hopefully Ultra Magnus are mainly plastic, but are nifty Japanese and not US reissues.

What have they got so far? Grimlock, Snarl & Swoop? Though Snarl should actually be Slag, Slag was the Trike and Snarl was the Stego.

The TRU reissues had just as much die cast as the originals. The only differences were:

-Elongated missiles in the first couple of waves to meet toy safety laws.

-In later waves, some missiles were unaltered, but the springs were removed from the launchers.

-Many of the weapons were not chromed like the originals.

That's the truth. I own a couple TRU reissues, and they're the same diecast parts as the originals.

I remember one I had (Hoist I think) and it was terrible, parts didn't fit very well and it just seemed cheap and nasty, plus he packaging was terrible compared to the numbered reissues and now the Encores.

Ultra Magnus was always my favourite character that was introduced in the movie-- I was never a Hot Rod/Rodimus Prime fan--- Maybe that's why I got the Ultra Magnus toy and not Rodimus.
