I agree. It's obviously better than the earlier release but still doesn't look outstanding and nowhere near Masterpiece quality. For that it would need even better paint apps with more vibrant shades of red & blue used plus some extra details including,

Diecast and/or fully chromed truck parts.
Fully articulated hands.
Correctly colored lightup eyes.
Rubber truck tires.
Twin pistols.
Working faceplate similar to the one on Animated Voyager Prime.
Matrix of Leadership accessory.

lol, in what concieveable way is it "masterpiece level"?
Give me a couple more weeks, i'll show you a REAL masterpiece level ROTF Prime.

Does the fact that it turns into a legitimate truck, and not something that looks like it's made of legos, count for nothing?

Dude....HOW? How is it a mediocre mold? It's almost perfect, only annoying things are swords and slight backpack...You're really coming across like you're now determined to 'hate it' (for lack of a better word).

From this I assume you think I prefer G1 Prime which would be totally wrong as I think Movie Prime is the best looking version of the character bar none.

I do however think that comparing the ROTF Leader Class to the Masterpiece line or saying it's perfect is pretty stupid considering it lacks most or all of the features I listed in a previous post, most of which would almost certainly be incorporated if Takara decided to do a real Masterpiece.

How complex the transformation may be doesn't mean crap to me and in Prime's case there's been far too many stories of people taking HOURS to transform it or being too scared to even try in case they break something for my liking and after the shambles that was MP Megatron I just can't be bothered with a TF that seems to be more trouble than it's worth.

I'm suggesting that while there are "masterpiece" elements missing from Buster Prime (as you noted), I believe he's also superior to "masterpiece" Prime in some areas which to me makes it a wash. One could argue that a really good alt mode is critical for a masterpiece figure: Megatron, Starscream, and Grimlock all had it, yet Prime's alt mode was craptacular. Does that make Masterpiece Prime not really a masterpiece?

Buster Prime is absolutely nothing like MP Megatron in terms of complexity and fragility. The figure is very durable and has a totally manageable transformation, despite it's complexity.
