That's how the black repaint started out though. I get your point though. But eh, he's a bit too standard for my tastes anyways. Just bored of black Prime repaints in general; I'd rather have them go back to more interesting black repaints like Shadow Blade Megatron.

If I were you, I'd work on the Grill on his forehead and actually sculpt it. And I'd make a couple of Spec maps to get some streaks of light bouncing off the metal and if you know how to do it, make a incandescence map for the eyes so they glow. Also, Mudbox or Zbrush for a high poly render... I know it sounds like a lot, but it'd be work it for your folio. I'd recommend you check out Digital Tutor (comes up in a Google search) for more info on my suggestions. It's a paid for tutorial site. I love it! Addicted to it!

actualy, it was intentional done as a low poly model. while High poly models look fantastic, they are resource hogs insofar as gaming goes. I'm debating going back into the texture and adding some segmentation and obvious plating to make it look less " lego-like" as my professor said, and more like an actual robot.

though, I might just do a high poly model as well.
