of course not from the beast series... my point was to show the fact that many TF's had already been animals/beasts of some kind in G1... so why not have them be animals in BW?

meh, all good though, to each their own. still the best series after G1.

IMO, the difference is that the alt modes from G1 still look robotic, which I love.

I've always hated that the Beast Wars robots would turn into "real" dinosaurs and animals with fur, skin, etc. However, I love the "robotic" G1 Transformers like Grimlock, Ravage, etc.

Ghey.

Buster Optimus Prime. Sorry for pics quality. I got him for 70 USD on ebay.

I have changed my mind about this toy. I now want one...i mean...alot!

I'm a bit of a fairweather Optimus Prime fan, but that is a fantastic looking figure.

Are you happy with the gun and the face... I have neither figure and want to custom one... And I CAN'T DECIDE WHICH ONE TO GET???

I love both face and the gun. The face look nicer in hand than in pics.

Buster and regular Optimus Prime. Still crappy pics.

The ultimate G1 Prime figure: a smaller version of the Masterpiece mold, in scale with the Classics line AND a nicer head mold. This is the figure I have been waiting for! Too bad it is a KO. Oh well. I have been supporting Hasbro and Takara for so many years that I do not feel any guilt in buying this one figure :)

Don't forget the improved articulation on the hands as well! ;)

As I've said before the fact that this is essentially a KO makes no difference to me, if Hasbro/Takara can't see that doing a deal with iGear and releasing them officially would be a nice little earner without the hassle and cost of producing the molds themselves then more fool them.

I hope both Prime & Megatron get released without any legal hassle and then a trailer with Roller for Prime and a downsized Seeker mold follow as a Voyager sized version of the MP Seeker mold would be a perfect replacement for the increasingly dated looking Classics version.

Man tha KO Prime looks awesome. Any pics with MP Grimlock.
I'm sure it will look great scale wise.

I can't remember where but a pic with Grimlock has been shown and it's a bit taller than Classics/Henkei Prime but still shorter than MP Grimlock and pretty much dead on to the difference between the two characters in the G1 cartoon.

Needless to say Henkei Prime will be booted from my main Classics/Universe/Henkei lineup if I can get the iGear version :D

Coming in 2010 from FansProject is this little fella who looks strangely familiar,

Hasbro/Takara = OWNED! ( again )

If FP make a set of interchangeable piledriver arms for it then it'll be even more awesome!

That would look perfect next to MP Grimlock. Hope I can pick that up eventually.

Yeah, the plastic quality is my soul concern. Hopefully it doesn't look and feel like a KO. I would be estatic if it turns out like FP's Ctity Commander set. The quality on that KO was top-notch.

The City Commander set is one of the favorite items in my collection though I wouldn't call it a KO as it's not an outright copy of an existing Hasbro or Takara product.

I haven't got any of iGear's other TF items that they've made so far so I don't know how the plastics are with those but if they can get the same kind of quality as FansProject have then the mini MP's will be awesome.

If iGear Prime gets released without legal issues arising a white "Ultra Magnus" rerelease is probable so I reckon iGear and FansProject should join forces and make a City Commander style upgrade for it. It wouldn't be cheap but imagine how cool it would look!

From the Allspark:

Just got the new Game informer Today and Didn't think much till I looked at the top corner.

"Transformers: War For Cybertron, A six page exclusive review. PG 48"

And Holy hell we are getting a new TF game!

Sad part is it's not tied to any continuity. As the name suggests it's pretty much War Within but the Video Games on telling it seems. It's taking cues from Gears of war as a 3rd Person over the shoulder shooter. Will have a Autobot and Decepticon Campaign. They keeping quiet on Multiplayer but it will have some sort of Online modes. Like the Armada game you will be able to choose which bot you want for a mission but the other bots not chosen will be your teams AI. Enemies will drop weapons which is interchangeable. And like the movie games we won't be confined to land vehicles only. And transforming plays a good deal into gameplay.

Not a lot of vehicle mode pics, about the only one is Megatrons which has him as a less pointy version of Animateds Cybertron mode though he looks more tankish than flight capable. Most bots seem a mix between G1 and War Within with a few more influences here and there. Prime looks like they took the War Within model and just added his normal dual windows, Megatron is a more angular version of Classics (Gun) robot mode. I see an Ironhide which looks very slimmed down almost like a red Kup. I see a bot that I'm guessing is Blitzwing (closely based on his Animated form) holding a giant spiked mace weapon. Soundwave is ... well Soundwave. Like every other Con in here he is a tad sharp around the edges but He retains his classic head, chest and shoulder weapon. Another Bot is shown fighting Prime (who is holding a giant dual bladed axe) in what looks like a CR facility or holding cells in the background)

All in all it looks pretty sweet. Release is for 2010 for 360, PS3, and PC

And the best news? We might get toys from it....After all, there was this leaked proto that has a few things in common with the new Prime:
